May 07, 2025 · Alex VidorWas in the shop yesterday. I was able to catch up with Roland and Al. It was great catching up and talking shop. This bike shop still and will always have the feel of what a bicycle shop should be! From a lifelong cyclist and cycle shop owner this is where you want your bike serviced and to purchase your bike retail needs. There is more experience at this shop than anywhere in the area. Get your bike serviced with the peace of mind you need when riding. Thank you for making me feel good when walking into a bike shop. This is your shop if you live in the Charlotte area. Good to see you Roland. -Will Bolt

Jun 26, 2025 · Elizabeth HarlanVery weird experience here. I’ve worked in a bike shop for 4 years just for context.Brought in two wheels, one with cassette, disc rotor, Cush core, and the other new. I was looking to get everything moved over to the new wheel.First red flag was offering to put a tube into a tire that has Cush core, next came the incompatibility of the hub. While i wasn’t sure which bike had which parts, I wasn’t thinking it would be a big deal as worst case I’d have to put a new hub on there or get a new derailure. Totally fine with the new hub and derailure as it would match my other bike.Zero effort was given to problem solve, no offer of ordering the right parts, looked at me like I was stupid when I said it was a 10 speed (it was). Instead of trying to explain to them I have two bikes I want to be able to move these tires and wheels between and I don’t care what I have to replace on this one to make it work, I’m just going to go to my normal shop I have drive a bit further to go to.If someone walks in with a $1000 wheel, money isn’t the issue, figure out how to make it work.
Mar 21, 2025 · Alex YakubJust a really nice place. A few days before Christmas, my son and I walked through the shop. My son positively fell in love with one of the bikes and I decided to buy it. Well, it was a Christmas present for him so I had to inconspicuously buy it during the visit. We had to keep everything on the down low. Donnie, the employee who sold the bike to me, inconspicuously took my credit card and charged it. In perfect stealth mode, he brought the paperwork to me to sign. We were outside the store and he let me use his back as a signature pad. Really cool. My son had no idea. The owner, not sure of his name, knew exactly what was happening. When my son finished test riding the bike, the owner took the bike and put it back up on the display rack to make my son think it was still for sale. My son asked the owner if they could hold it for us to buy and the owner said “I will do my best to hold it but if somebody comes in who wants to buy it, I have to sell it. We can’t hold bikes for very long.” During his reply, he gave me a look as if to say “I got your back, dad. Merry Christmas and I appreciate what you’re doing with your son.“ I returned the next morning to pick up the bike. Andres, I think he is the owner’s brother, went over every detail, nook and cranny of the bike with me. They treated me like royalty. All this to say that the overall experience was beyond five stars. It’s just a really cool place with an inviting atmosphere. Check it out. You will be pleased. Oh yeah - that shiny new bike we purchased is now caked with dried mud, as every mountain bike should be. Thanks, Bike Gallery.
