Exton Bicycles possesses several features and highlights that shape the customer experience and contribute to its role in the Pennsylvania cycling community. These aspects, drawn from available information, provide insight into what customers can expect.
Wide Selection of Products: The store is noted for having a "big selection of bikes, helmets and other accessories." This comprehensive inventory means customers have numerous options to choose from when purchasing new equipment or outfitting their existing rides, catering to various cycling disciplines and preferences.
Knowledgeable and Friendly Staff: Customer feedback indicates the staff is "knowledgeable" and "friendly and helpful." This suggests that customers can expect assistance in making informed decisions about bikes and gear, as well as a welcoming atmosphere in the store. A friendly demeanor can significantly enhance the shopping experience.
Efficient Turnaround Time for Service: One customer highlighted that their son's mountain bike was tuned up and "back in running condition in a day." This demonstrates the shop's capability for quick and efficient service, which is highly valued by cyclists eager to get back on their bikes.
Upfront Explanation of Services (in some cases): For some customers, "Everything was explained up front" regarding the tuning process for their mountain bike. This suggests a practice of transparency in service explanations, which can contribute to customer satisfaction.
Regular Use and Repeat Business: The sentiment "Will use their services again" from a satisfied customer indicates that the quality of work and positive experience can lead to repeat business and customer loyalty.
Areas for Improvement in Cost Transparency: It is important to note that one customer experienced a lack of transparency regarding pricing, with unexpected charges for services and supplies. This highlights an area where the business might improve its communication about total costs to ensure all customers feel treated fairly and openly. While the positive review points to upfront explanations, the negative review suggests inconsistency, which is a key consideration for new customers.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Called and asked about getting my bike tuned up, was told its $99, then found out they raised the price to $110 when I brought the bike in. I was told a new chain would be $20 and $15 to put it on. I was charged $30 for the chain. They called and said I needed two new tires for $34 each. I did not know they would charge an additional $15 for each tire install, plus $10 more for shop supplies. Total bill was $300. There should have been more transparency on the cost. I feel like I was taken advantage of.
