Body Over Bike Reviews
Outstanding bike fitting! I got fits for both my road bike and my TT bike, and they feel great. I can now sustain higher power outputs in a more aero position on both bikes. Chris resolved a foot pain issue through insoles, too. Highly recommended.

Aug 09, 2024 · Thomas BiedererThe work Chris did for me is beyond great! Having lower back problems, and being a triathlete, it was time for a proper fit. Chris spent hours with me making minute adjustments to the Guru bike until he & I both felt comfortable. He stressed he would not up-sell or recommend a bike out of my price range. Being new into the TT market, I relied heavily on his experience and expertise. I had many. many questions to which he had all the right answers. 2 bikes made the cut (nearly $2000 price difference), and he ultimately recommended the less expensive model based on my finances, needs and fit.Another Google reviewer mentioned suggesting a bike that Chris and the Guru system did not find appropriate. This reviewer contacted that bike manufacturer, and of course the sales department agreed that bike would fit. He (the reviewer) went to California for a fit (at that company) and they, of course, sold him that model. That is business 101 and not reflection of Body Over Bike.Once my TT bike arrived, it was expertly assembled and adjusted to my specifications. I was so very impressed that I went back for a road bike fitting.

Jul 30, 2020 · Jonas NelsonVERY Disappointed...Went to Chris in December 2018 for a bike fitting. The main reason that I chose Chris was because as he states on his website, under "The Difference" section, "We will not try to sell you a new bike - we don’t have an inventory that we are trying to move."In fairness, the fitting went well. However, throughout the fitting Chris continued to stress that this would be a process and that we would meet again to talk next steps and get me setup when I landed on a bike. I discussed during the fitting that I had my eye on a bike that I really like the look of it, however I wasn't sure if it was the proper fit. Chris assured me that we would evaluate it to determine if it was a good fit and also factor in my budget. At the end, he went over several bikes discussing the “good” ones that fit me well and the others that did not. I asked him specifically about the bike that I was interested; he stated it was not a good fit – he didn’t like the measurements. I received my full report later that day.Interestingly, all of the bikes that he recommended, he either sold or could point me to a specific vendor. All other bikes he said didn’t fit me well and they “could injure me over time”. And all of the bikes that he “recommended” (sold) were in excess of $1,000 over my already decent budget.I replied to Chris’ email that I had gone over the measurements received from the fit report and compared them to the bike that I had my eye on. I also called the other company (online only sales) to discuss. They confirmed that I was well within their measurements, with very little adjustment (later we learned when I went to CA for a fitting with the manufacturer, the measurements were correct, and I squarely fit on one of their “standard” models). I emailed Chris 3 x’s over the next several weeks. I have never received a response to my questions or follow-up from the fitting. My issue is not that I didn’t receive the fitting or that I think it was bad. My issue is that it was clearly stated on his website that “We will not try to sell you a new bike”. This apparently could not be further from the truth. This is in addition to the other pressure to purchase other accessories (e.g. shoes, Garmin, services, etc.).Overall very disappointed and I won’t be using Chris for any services or purchases.
