⭐️ If I could give a negative rating, I would. Stay far away.We came in to purchase a specific model of electric bike, but the staff strongly pushed us to buy a different model, claiming it was better. On top of that, they convinced us to buy two bikes, saying the second one was "half off." But when it came time to pay, the price of the first bike mysteriously jumped by $400. We ended up paying way more than expected.Then came the upsells: they pressured us into paying extra for "slime" in the tires to prevent flats. Later, we got a flat—and discovered no slime was installed at all, even though we were charged for it.When we went in for the flat repair, we were quoted a price. But at pick-up, the price suddenly increased due to “labor” that was never mentioned beforehand. Three months after buying the bikes, they told us the tires needed to be completely replaced (?!), charged us an outrageous amount, and when we picked up the bike, it didn’t work at all—the electrical cable was disconnected and wouldn’t stay in place. This happened right after they serviced the tires.We told them this wasn’t an issue before the tire replacement (we even rode the bike to them!), but they denied any responsibility and had the audacity to offer a $480 repair. The bike has been out of use ever since.They told us to contact the bike manufacturer (Mavric), but Mavric doesn’t respond to calls or emails. Ride & Motion, who sell and distribute these bikes, completely shrugged off responsibility.Meanwhile, our second bike also got a flat, even though it was supposedly treated with slime (again—it wasn’t). Once more, we called, were quoted a price that included labor, confirmed it twice, and still were charged more when we came to pick it up. Apparently, a patch and some glue costs $30+?A flat tire for a bike should not cost three times what it costs for a car.To top it off, when we tried to bring the second bike in for service (called at 4:20pm on a Friday—the shop closes at 5), we were told they were "too busy" to accept it. What kind of service is that?Bottom line:🚫 Deceptive pricing🚫 Constant upselling🚫 Poor communication🚫 No accountability🚫 Terrible post-sale supportIf you value your money and sanity — go elsewhere.

We were staying in Scottsdale for a little vacation and decided to head over to Rides N Motion for a test ride. Madison was great. She got me set up on an Aventon bike like my husbands. Unfortunately, it had a "step over" bar and didn't really fit me. I thought about it some more overnight and we went back for another test ride. This time the owner, Bobby was there. The Aventon still didn't fit me well enough so he had me try two other bikes. The Surface Rook had EVERYTHING already on it and it fit me perfectly, however, it was outside my original budget. We went back the next day for another test ride on the Surface Rook and once Bobby upgraded my seat I was hooked. He really knows his product and does everything possible to make you happy with your ride. My husband is now a little jealous of MY bike wishes he had waited and bought one from Rides N Motion! I have since emailed them with a few questions and they have responded very quickly. Great customer service!

Dec 11, 2024 · Gabriel SantoyoI purchased a super 73 for my 14 year old. When I was there to purchase an e-bike the staff was really friendly. A few months later we decided to upgrade the bikes breaks and tires to avoid flats. (There is some puncture vine in the empty lot near our home.) We paid for both upgrades and within a week the rear tire popped as my child was riding through the orange groves as I followed on my ebike. I hauled the bike back to the shop and got chewed out by a repairman who told me that my child was obviously jumping and abusing the bike. I let him know I was with my child and although there were some bumps in the groves they were not jumping as I was with them. Rides in Motion repaired the tires and didn’t charge me. Approximately 3 weeks later my child was riding down the sidewalk, hit a screw, blew the tire, and was nearly hit by a car at 45 mph. I called the shop and again got the repairman who began telling me my child was abusing the bike. I let him know they were riding in a nice part of town on the sidewalk, and I understand there could be debris, but the tire blew and all that is inside appears to be a flat piece of rubber and I had asked for a thick foam. The repairman said they put foam in the tires (there appears to be slime) but they would not put thick foam and Kevlar lining as it would be overkill. That is what I asked for as my child’s safety is the most important thing and he continued being rude and started saying, “I’m not trying to make excuses but your child is abusing this bike.” I asked him if riding down the sidewalk is abusing the bike and then he switched gears saying, “Even a car will get a flat tire if it hits a screw.” I understand all of that. I don’t understand why I didn’t get what I asked for. I don’t appreciate when I call a business and they make excuses instead of having a conversation. I’m a reasonable human who just wants my child to be as safe as possible or I wouldn’t have paid for upgrades. I’m very disappointed that this one employee blames the customer, as everyone else seems very kind, but I’ll be finding a new bike shop to do business with and suggest everyone else does the same, at least for upgrades or repairs.
