However, like any service-based business, customer experiences can be varied. While some customers have reported highly positive interactions, particularly regarding new bike purchases and initial fittings, others have expressed significant concerns about the consistency and quality of repair services. This highlights the importance for potential customers to consider a broad spectrum of feedback when choosing a bike shop for their specific needs, especially for critical repairs.

However, it is important to acknowledge that some customer experiences can present a mixed picture. While some highly positive reviews highlight excellent sales interactions and successful initial setups (e.g., Cody's assistance with a Specialized Aethos, including a demo, custom assembly, and post-sale adjustments), other reviews detail significant issues with repair quality and post-service problems (e.g., flat tire repairs that failed quickly, missing brake pads after service). This indicates that while sales and initial setup might be strong points, there could be inconsistencies in the service department that prospective customers should be aware of and potentially verify before committing to complex repairs.

Its suitability for locals hinges on understanding its strengths and potential areas of concern based on collective customer feedback.
The shop's robust inventory, featuring brands like Specialized, Pinarello, and Cannondale across multiple bike categories (road, mountain, e-bike, hybrid, kids'), means that a wide range of local cyclists can potentially find a bike that suits their style and budget for Colorado's diverse terrains. Positive customer experiences highlight instances where staff, like Cody, have provided excellent sales service, including demos, custom assembly based on prior fits, and post-sale adjustments, ensuring a smooth start to a new bike's journey.
However, prospective customers should be aware that the quality of repair services has received mixed reviews. While the shop offers comprehensive tune-up packages, some reports indicate issues with repair longevity and attention to detail. This suggests that while Epic Cycles Denver may be a strong contender for new bike purchases and initial setups, particularly with personalized sales assistance, customers seeking intricate or highly reliable ongoing repair work might benefit from thoroughly discussing their needs and expectations with the service department, or considering other options for complex repairs based on their personal comfort level.
In summary, Epic Cycles Denver offers a valuable resource for locals looking to explore new bikes from reputable brands and benefit from professional fitting services. While individual experiences with repairs can vary, the shop's commitment to sales support and a diverse product range makes it a relevant option for many in the active Colorado cycling community.

Epic Cycles Denver Reviews
I took my bike here to get a flat repaired since the puncture was deep enough that I needed the tube replaced as well, and it seemed like paying someone to do it was a better use of my limited time than doing it myself. Well, the first time they “fixed” it it was flat again within less than 12 hours without having been used at all, and the second time it actually lasted a couple of days before deflating completely. They told me they replaced the tube and tire and put a sealant inside the tire, and I can verify that it did have a new tire and they put something that I assume was sealant inside, but it didn’t work. Not only that, I guess they had to remove the brake pads to replace the tire and they forgot to put one back. They couldn’t find it, and it’s not a common design so I had to order a replacement. Anyway I don’t know if the third repair would’ve lasted because my bike was stolen shortly thereafter (the perks of living in far NE Denver) but I certainly wouldn’t’ve been surprised. In short, don’t go here. You might as well just throw your money in the trash instead. I don’t know where you should go instead – I’m relatively new to town and was relying on reviews to pick a bike shop, which clearly backfired. I’d love any recommendations, though!
Jun 17, 2025 · Andrew HarborI got a great deal on a Specialized Aethos that I saw on at Epic on line. Cody let me demo one in the Denver store then pulled the one I wanted from the warehouse, assembled it based on a previous bike fit, and sent me ecstatically on my way for a flawless bike trip that started in CA the next day. After a couple weeks things stretched and he adjusted it on the spot and it has been flawless again. Love the bike, the store and Cody!!!!
May 07, 2025 · Ellen WakemanI'd say if you are within 10-15 miles of this shop, it's worth it. Premium bikes, Pinerello, Specialized, Yeti, BMC etc. and all available online and built in shop. Even if you don't purchase there, take yours in and expect expert service and absolutely zero bike shop ego. Great place to buy, service and just learn about bikes.
Jun 27, 2025 · Cody FrendleAs a new resident of Aurora, I needed to find a bike shop to service my road and mountain bikes. Epic Cycles on Beeler was the fourth and last shop I needed to visit. I met Cody, another veteran, and was impressed by the customer service routine. Turnaround time on maintenance is quick, so you don't have to wait days to get back out on trails. I now recommend this shop to my neighbors and colleagues. Mike
Jun 20, 2025 · Mike RileyBought a new ride through Epic and Cody set me up. He was able to dial in my road bike with a couple of simple measurements, make a few adjustments and off I went. While I have had expensive bike set ups in the past, his experience and knowledge really made it fast, simple and part of the sale! He reviewed all aspects of the new ride and was really helpful. Great experience!
