Bikes Together Introduce
Hello, Colorado cycling enthusiasts and community advocates! If you believe that everyone deserves the freedom and joy of riding a bicycle, regardless of their budget or prior experience, then you absolutely need to know about **Bikes Together**. This isn't just another bicycle store in Denver; it's a vital non-profit organization and community hub dedicated to making equitable bike access and education a reality for all.
In a state like Colorado, where outdoor recreation and active transportation are so highly valued, bicycles serve as more than just a means of getting around; they are tools for health, independence, and community connection. However, the cost of new bikes and repairs can sometimes be a barrier. Bikes Together steps in to bridge this gap, offering affordable solutions and empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills to maintain their own rides.
What truly sets Bikes Together apart is its deeply rooted mission: "to transform our Denver community through equitable access to bikes and bike education." They achieve this by recycling thousands of donated bicycles, professionally refurbishing them, and selling them at accessible price points. More importantly, they foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can learn, grow, and connect through their shared love of cycling. As customer reviews consistently highlight, the staff, like Colin and Laurie, are not only "kind and knowledgeable" but genuinely "looking out for you," often prioritizing honest advice over a quick sale.
Bikes Together offers a refreshing alternative to traditional bike shops, focusing on sustainability, community empowerment, and affordability. Whether you're a seasoned rider looking for an affordable part, a newcomer wanting to learn basic maintenance, or someone simply seeking a reliable and budget-friendly bike, Bikes Together embodies the spirit of collaboration and support that makes Colorado's cycling community so vibrant.
Bikes Together is conveniently located at **1060 Osage St, Denver, CO 80204, USA**. This address places the shop in the La Alma/Lincoln Park neighborhood, a historically rich and centrally located area of Denver. Its position makes it highly accessible for residents from various parts of the city, particularly those in the downtown core and surrounding areas.
The accessibility of this location is a key aspect of Bikes Together's mission to serve the wider community. It's well-served by Denver's public transportation system, with bus routes in the vicinity and light rail access nearby. This makes it a practical destination for individuals who may not have personal vehicles, aligning with the organization's goal of promoting cycling as an equitable means of transportation.
For those cycling to the shop, the neighborhood offers a mix of urban streets, and its proximity to bike-friendly areas makes it a relatively straightforward ride. While specific parking for cars might vary, being in a community-focused area means there's often street parking available, though it's always advisable to check local signage. The "green bike racks outside" mentioned on their website suggest a welcoming approach for those arriving on two wheels.
The shop's operational hours, including Thursday, Friday, and Saturday hours, are also structured to accommodate diverse schedules, allowing more people to visit for sales, repairs, or classes. This thoughtful consideration of accessibility, both geographical and logistical, ensures that Bikes Together remains a cornerstone for Denver's cycling community.

Bikes Together Reviews
My partner and I both had a great experience at bikes together. The shop has a wide selection of refurbished bikes sold at affordable prices. Their helpful staff helped us find bikes that fit well and swapped in more comfortable pedals and a saddle free of charge. I shouldn’t need another bike for a while, but I’d definitely go back to Bikes Together.
Jun 29, 2025 · Corey McGinnisCan not say enough about this bike shop! Colin and Laurie and all the other staff are very kind and knowledgeable. Colin was willing to watch me ride my bike to give me tips on form and help me get to the bottom of some back pain I’ve been having while biking, and suggested multiple solutions. This is a shop geared towards more used and affordable parts so if they ever tell you to go to another shop it is simply because they don’t have the part/bike and would rather give you honest advice than try to make a sale. The mission is great and the people are genuinely helpful and looking out for you!
May 31, 2025 · Dakota HitchnerI absolutely love this place. I build Bikes and e-bikes for people and trying to make them kind of artistic with my paint jobs I don't have a store setup. I've always wondered if I could sell my bikes out of their place and give them a cut from my sales they're really unique bikes and they're used. I think it would fit their thing really good but who knows.
May 21, 2025 · Jonathan ByrdGreat spot for parts and for entry level bikes, which is exactly what I was looking for. Extremely helpful staff. Will be coming back regularly to check on their sidewalk bikes to get one for my partner so we can go out together.
May 11, 2025 · Brendan StrautNot true I was turned away, due to my disability the lady who was helping us was reluctant with bike of choice that finally didn't give me pain but I when I told her I only had $20 she said sorry she couldn't bargain that low for that bike that was on the street. Per their story they suggest $40-$200 and they no one is ever turned away. That bike was given to them for someone that needed I was someone that needed it.
