May 27, 2025 · Aris KeshishianPaul the bicycle Wizard! I went to buy a used 1" threaded fork and somehow found the part in his crazy fork pile on the side. I ask if he can remove the compression ring from my old fork to put into the used one I found in the shop and Paul said no problem and used a grinder to reshape the steerer so that the compression ring could fit. He did this in no less than 20 mins and charge me 26$, super cheap. 10$ for the fork and 10$ for the labor plus 6$ for the added starnut. Thanks Paul.
Jun 12, 2025 · Branden RodriguezAn old-school shop, with an old-school proprietor to help and repair just about anything. Very honest, very reasonable and 100% unvarnished bicycle culture. This is not a fancy shop. There are no nice displays, there's not any good lighting, it's frankly a mess. This is where you go to get a great deal on a used bike, to get something fixed quickly and competently when other shops would tell you to throw it away, to meet a mechanic that can not only fix that old part but that has spares for it. This is the type of shop where you can shake the mechanic's greasy hand, feel good about the impact that a six-pack of beer can have for a job well done, ask the owner to teach your son how to change his own tire, meet bicycle riders who ride for fun and never, ever really see anybody wearing lycra...haha!This is also a shop that makes, and supports the reconstruction of old cruiser bikes, crazy old school mountain bikes and insanely fun underground races that you can easily join, just by walking into the store and reading a flyer.
