Speakeasy Bikes Introduce
For cycling enthusiasts and everyday riders in Pennsylvania, particularly those in the scenic Palmerton area, finding a bicycle shop that combines expertise with a welcoming atmosphere is essential. Speakeasy Bikes aims to be that trusted local destination, where passion for cycling meets professional service. This establishment prides itself on its "laid-back, approachable attitude," ensuring that whether you're a seasoned pro tackling rugged trails or just starting your cycling journey, you'll feel right at home. Speakeasy Bikes is committed to keeping your wheels spinning smoothly on every adventure across the diverse landscapes of our great state.
Founded by Kevin Serfass and Dan Brodeen, who share a deep interest in bikes and the outdoors, Speakeasy Bikes emerged from a chance encounter at a fat bike race. Their vision was to create a bike shop that welcomes all disciplines of cycling, from high-performance mountain biking and road cycling to casual rides. The name "Speakeasy" hints at their unique, discreet location and their desire to create a friendly, conversational space where all things bikes can be discussed and celebrated. They are more than just a place to buy a bike; they are a community hub for local riders.
Speakeasy Bikes is located at 70 Church Road, In the rear, Palmerton, PA 18071, USA. This address in Palmerton, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, positions the shop conveniently for residents in the immediate area and surrounding communities. Its somewhat "discreet" location "in the rear" of Beltzville Beverage Building, next to The Stagger Inn (opening in 2024), gives it that unique "speakeasy" vibe, making it a distinctive local spot. Palmerton's proximity to popular cycling destinations like Blue Mountain Bike Park, West End Regional Park, Jim Thorpe, Glen Park, and the D+L trail further enhances Speakeasy Bikes' appeal. This makes it an ideal stop for pre-ride checks, post-ride tune-ups, or simply to browse for new gear before hitting the trails or roads. While its "in the rear" location might require a bit of looking, its convenience to major cycling spots makes the effort worthwhile for dedicated riders.

Speakeasy Bikes Reviews
This is one nice little Bike Shop. The owner is a super nice guy very knowledgeable and very professional. I had a problem with my forks and my hand grip throttle and he took care of. It immediately. took me right in and I was out in five minutes. Definitely a shop I’ll be revisiting quite often. I recommend this place to everyone that rides a bike.
Jun 19, 2025 · Mark PeccarelliWent to get my breaks done on bike. Said the pads on rear were worn out good. Get home the front break doesn’t work and hadn’t zeroed out adjustments so back was no good. Go back a week later not there during his hours(guess his hours are optional) he tells me I must’ve done something to breaks and when I confirm he’ll be there tomorrow he said yes then later tells me he’s sick he did give me 25$ back after I’d wasted hours bringing my bicycle back and forth to his shop. Next guy I bring bike to asks me why brakes are so bad?
