Just purchased a LONG planned-for Cervélo R5. at R&A. The staff has been with me every mile of the journey, from an EXPERT bike fitting to sourcing every component for my particular needs - crank length, power meter, custom cassette gearing etc… They never tired of helping navigate the details with endless patience and a great sense of humor. I never felt like I was being ‘sold’ on anything which helped in the decision making process. From the owner Phil, to Sheila and Felix in sales and their amazing bike fitter Jonathan, I felt like they were all invested in making sure I got EXACTLY what I wanted.

I paid $5k for Pinarello Dogma frameset. The frame arrived with misplaced decals, overspray, and a bottom bracket area that needed to be reamed and faced. Decals are relatively easy to fix. I did this myself at my own expense. The overspray is unfortunate, but fine. For the bottom bracket area, R&A snipped back at me when I asked for help saying quite literally that I didnt spend enough to deserve this 5 min service---they would only do this if I were to built a custom bike through them---despite the fact that I had paid for a $5k frame. I paid to have the service done myself.So, in my experience of buying dozens of high value bikes over the years, you can do better than RA. While they promise 'buying a bike should be a thrilling and enjoyable experience' the customer support I received was offputting--suggesting that my request to face a BB was 'out of the question' even when I live 20 mins away and literally would have take 5-10 mins in the RA stand.Just take your money elsewhere and get better service and a more thankful seller.In the photos you can see the comically bad decal and the bb overspray which requires reaming/facing.
