4.0
First off, the staff were friendly and upfront. Given the location, I expected the service to be on the pricier side, which I totally understand. However, my experience left me a bit disappointed. It started one evening when my eBike’s rear tire (20x3) popped, probably due to construction on the street at the time. I went into the shop asking for a flat tire repair, and they told me it needed to be replaced, quoting me $185. I was shocked at first but convinced myself that the price made sense considering the location. About 15 minutes later, my bike was ready, and I left feeling happy. But as I got closer to home, I realized my battery was completely drained, and pedaling manually was extremely hard. When I checked, I noticed there wasn’t enough space between the tire and the frame (see picture). I took the bike back to the shop and reported the issue, but they weren’t able to fix the issue. It turns out, the tire they installed was a 20x3.3 instead of the recommended 20x3, which was also clearly marked on the original tire.I learned my lesson and paid the $185 for it. I didn’t bother going back for a third time. For anyone reading this review, I’d recommend double-checking their work and testing it thoroughly.I did eventually get the problem fixed. The $185 tire was replaced with a $50 (20x3) tire by a reputable bike shop in Sheepshead Bay area at a much much reasonable price.Next time if I get a flat, I’ll just call an Uber—it’ll be cheaper! - Adam Wu
