Yesterday, I was in Prospect Park doing some training laps. I was three laps in, commencing my 4th, when I decided to pause my training and take a little break. I hopped a curb - something that I usually do with no issue - but it felt like the rear tire took a hard hit. I thought nothing of it. I was unable to take the break so I continued back to training, but I was bouncing while on the bike. I thought I was pushing too hard in too light of a gear, so I kept gearing up to harder gears only to still feel the same. Then I thought, what if I had a bubble in the inner tube from the hard impact I felt when hopping the curb. So finally, I pull over to check my tire and lo and behold, it was losing air. At the moment, I could not figure out what the problem actually could have been because there was no bubble. Maybe it was a pinch flat.Of course, I was cycling naked, LOL, meaning I had no tools or tubes on me and now, at this point, the tire is completely flat. I was closest to the West side of the park by the Nitehawk Cinema round-about. My options were to Uber home (~$30+), walk across the park to the Flatbush side and go to a bike shop on that side that had some poor reviews or go to I&M on Church Avenue in which I vowed to NEVER go to again (feel free to read my review too, LOL). I felt stuck, but then went on the map again and saw that Bicycle Habitat was actually super close to where I was. So I called in to ensure that they had 65mm compatible tubes and what the cost of the entire service would be and it all was a go. So I began my embarrassing trek to BH, clickitty clackin’ with my clips. LOL.Kate is who I spoke to over the phone and who I first met when I arrived and she was simply AMAZING!!! The entire staff were busy working on various assignments, tending to customers, helping each out and just operating like a waxed chain. I was able to use the restroom, browse and inquire about their inventory for a friend, etc. Kate was sooo cool; she answered all of my questions, gave me accurate information and the whole sprint. I forget who worked on my bike, but he too was very cool and got my bike back to me faster than Cory Williams. LOL.I will definitely go back and do future business with them. Thank you very much Bicycle Habitat!!! - Ashley Guillaume
