I am 💯% delighted with my new bike, bike rack, and accessories that I bought from co-owner Mike! Also, everyone in the shop works hard but is also knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth the 1.5-hour drive over from Alabama! (Plus ya gotta love the name!)

Feb 24, 2025 · Chuck CobbCouldn’t figure out why my chain was rubbing on my new bike. Told me to live with it, some bikes are like that. What a joke of a response.Even the manufacturer was surprised of their response of “live with it”.Took it back few months later and they recommended me to replace the chainring… that they previously ALREADY replaced TWICE — Yes, they completely forgot we already went through that and paid them for their joke of a solution one too many times.Did my research over the weeks, took apart the bike and found the cause myself (with the help of strangers on Reddit). Went to Boneshakers in Powder Springs and they fixed the persisting issue almost immediately without (comically incorrect) pretentious attitude.Do not recommend this Cycology shop at all. Seems overtly corporate — where they just want your money. Can’t believe an amateur of myself was able to figure a consistent problem with a NEW bike, yet the Cycology Hiram mechanics couldn’t and wanted to instead keep me at buying their hideous chainrings with no fix and no eye contact when speaking.Save the trip here and visit the Boneshakers bike shop a few miles away.Great mom n pop shop over there with guys who have the best natural conversation, knowledge of craft and personality.I’ve since made all of my major purchases with Boneshakers and enjoy everyone there.Do NOT recommend Cycology Bike Shop “Free Of Charge”Of course, I didn’t pay for second the chainring as I purchased it independently of Cycology. However, Installation of the second chainring was not “free of charge”.You disassembled the factory chainring. Installed a very cosmetically different chainring with noticeably silver teeth, instead of the original black. Yes, I questioned this as did my peers in cycling. You’ve changed the look of a rider’s bike without acknowledging the cosmetic change.(2) Two Chainring Cycology InstalledAfter installation of the second chainring, loud rubbing still occurred. Months later, your mechanic — with a horribly nonchalant demeanor — laughably advised me to purchase what would’ve been a third chainring, not knowing you all already installed two different ones. This all the while, another mechanic told me “to just ride it like that [with rubbing]. Unacceptable response. The manufacturer totally disagreed with Cycology’s statement and apologized for that.(3) Every chainring you all installed rubbed terribly. Myself and my LBS could (1) visually see the rub, (2) hear it while riding and (3) see the chainring oscillating. Again it took an amateur of myself to diagnose a problem Cycology couldn’t fix, yet Boneshakers LBS fixed it day of.(3) Please, Test Your Service Before Saying “It’s Fixed”The shop didn’t take the bike for a test ride to confirm rub had dissipated, as when you admittedly butchered my simple derailleur adjustment. A bike is not ridden on your bike stand.(4) The “integrated handlebar” was NOT installed completely. You’re shop know this. The mechanic found a piece he dropped inside the frame and congratulated himself.Essentially, the shop’s diagnosis was COMPLETELY incorrect and the shop continued with the abysmal advice of “buy more” or “buy another chainring [from us]”.I would be unwise allow you all to take my money to purchase a third chainring from your shop. Obviously, the solution wasn’t fixed the first time with your careless diagnosis.I’m aware you all called me multiple times wanting to install another my 3rd chainring — I was money for you all.The issue wasn’t the petty money spent, it’s the vile, condescending and neglecting advice and time wasted.I’ve had multiple interactions with you all and every time it was substandard in both your service quality and attitude. To those reading, learn how to work on your bikes yourself. Very easy. It pays off, ultimately. Or simply do business with a LBS named Boneshakers in Powder Springs for superior service and easy-going conversation. Will NEVER PATRONIZE a shop like Cycology in Hiram, again.
Jan 30, 2025 · Jonathan TerrellGreat bike shop. They gave me the deal of a lifetime on my new Specialized Sirrus. The techs are extremely knowledgeable as well.
Mar 13, 2025 · Joseph NoteboomI have been a customer of Cycology since 2020 when during the pandemic, they were literally one of the only places that I could purchase a bike. Everyone there is so pleasant and helpful and I purchased my first bike as an adult and then I was hooked.I recently purchased an ebike and Ira walked me through my options, didn't try to sell for the sake of a sale; he listened to my wants and needs and then proceeded with recommendations. He also followed up to ensure that I was satisfied with my purchase and answered all of the questions that I had.If you purchase from Cycology know that they will take care of you and ensure that you made the right decision and help you along the way.
