Trek Bicycle Detroit Midtown Reviews
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Rude Management & Used Bike Sold as NewI had a terrible experience at this Trek bike store, and I would not recommend it to anyone. I came in to purchase what I was told was a brand new bike—not a demo model—but it was clearly used. The tires had dirt in them, and the bike had visible nicks and scratches. When I pointed this out, the staff brushed it off and acted like it wasn’t a concern.I was already uncomfortable with how rude and dismissive the staff were during the sale, but things got even worse when I got home and discovered even more scratches that I hadn’t noticed in the store. To make matters worse, I wasn’t informed about any of the financing options available—which should be standard information during a purchase like this. When I called the store to express my concerns, the manager was shockingly disrespectful. He talked over me, refused to listen, and even told me he wasn’t going to “go back and forth” with me. He completely dismissed my concerns and made me feel like my experience and money didn’t matter at all.The entire process was rushed and I felt as if the store manager just wanted to make a sale. After driving over an hour to this particular store.Selling a clearly used bike as new and then treatinga paying customer this way is unacceptable. I expected better from Trek, and I left this store feeling frustrated, disappointed, and disrespected. I won’t be back—and I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere.
May 31, 2025 · crystal scottI have been to the store several times in past fee years for an urgent repair or merchandise.Attention to my needs always addressed timely, friendly in a consultative manner. Great shop for a quick repair, advice or merchandise as you are riding through the city!
May 12, 2025 · Robert TokarczykWalked in off the street for new brake pads, and I got them installed along with an impromptu tuneup in 10 minutes. Fast, friendly, professional, good value.
Apr 26, 2025 · Jerry DavisWas on a longer road bike ride today coming through downtown Detroit when I broke a chain I was excited to see there was a trek store nearby. I walked my bike about a mile to get there, hoping to get new chain put on.Once arriving the man working in the store, let me know that there was nobody who could put a chain on till Friday. It’s Tuesday and I’m about 20 miles from my home. Not really sure how you can have a trek bike shop that can’t fix a chain every day of the week.I get it’s hip to have a store in Detroit, but it’s probably not very functional and it’s probably not gonna last very long. Especially if it can do the simplest fixes…..
Mar 18, 2025 · Sean PotterThese guys are fantastic. I’m on a ride across the USA. My bike fell from the front rack of the bus Windsor to Detroit. The gears and other things were to be fixed. These guys fixed everything and saved my trip. The experience at the store was fantastic. Thanks a lot ! I highly recommend !
