TRAILSIDE CYCLE Inc. Reviews
Popped a spoke on a recently tuned up bike. Out of state ride scheduled the following weekend and many shops were full up for service. I called Hans and he was polite, courteous and told me to bring my bike in that day. Two days later, it was ready for pickup. Good pricing as well and he called me on completion before the weekend. The shop has tons of inventory and is located right off the New Berlin trail. Thanks for taking care of my service issue before I headed out of town for a multi day ride.
May 17, 2025 · Trevor SumnerI wish I could give this place 0 stars, the owner and the woman who works here accused my brother of stealing his own bike when he can’t even drive. 🤦♀️ It ended up that the owner gave my brothers brand new bike which he had for 2 DAYS to another kid. He tried to threaten over the phone about taking this situation to court and constantly swears at his customers. Luckily the bike was recovered but the owner is a real joke and obviously can’t run his business .
Jul 02, 2025 · mxdyyTook my bike in for new tires. It took 20 days before it was ready. I rode it 8 miles when the gears stopped engaging with the wheel. Pedaling did nothing. I had to find someone else to make it right.
May 30, 2025 · Aubrey FreemanI had a siezed wheel bearing and brought the wheel in for bearing replacement. That bearing was stuck in there, it took some time but they got it done. The work they did looks great and it rides great. Local bike shop for the win!
Apr 03, 2025 · Brian HewsonHORRIBLE business practices. I drive out from Milwaukee to trailside to support small businesses. I dropped off a bike to get repaired prior to our family camping trip. I attempted to pick it up the night before so we could leave early in the morning. I arrived more than an hour early, prior to 7 PM, their listed closed time on their website. The "open" sign was on in the window facing Calhoun Rd. I walk up to find the doors locked. I check the website again and I didn't read it wrong, they showed they should be open. I call the business number and no one pics up and no opportunity to leave a message. The next morning I arrive a few minutes before 10 AM, their website listed opening time. I wait until 10:10 AM to approach the door. Door is locked. I called and someone picked up. I explained I was there to pick up a bike and told them your website shows they are open at 10AM. "Nope, 10:30". I then asked what time they closed the day before and I was told "4:30 PM". When asked about their business hours LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE, I was told basically they don't do much with their website. When I explained almost the entire general public uses a businesses website for specifically this information the trailside person said "No, I don't think so". Not even on their front door do they have their business hours listed. Well, if Google is the most accurate, then here is my Google review. I can't even imagine a place being in this business with this attitude. He explained he had called his web designer to get the hours changed but made no effort to give me any kind of discount for this frustrating experience. I don't care if this is the most awesome repair ever done in the history of bicycles I will never be back. It would probably be worth your time to avoid the frustration and aggravation to take your repairs and make your purchases somewhere else.
