Mike’s Bikes of Stanford Research Park Reviews
I came to your shop as a Stanford postdoc hoping for a little help fixing my scooter’s flat tire—just like a bicycle tube repair—you say no, ok,and then all I asked was to borrow a wrench since my own didn’t fit and I’d signed up for your noon repair class. Instead of even a small gesture of assistance, I was met with a rehearsed “I really want to help, but policy says I can’t,” and that cold, rule-bound response left me feeling more like a nuisance than a neighbor. A store that values rigid regulations over genuine kindness isn’t one I’ll be revisiting—or recommending—to anyone in our community.
Apr 30, 2025 · Dw AWent in w/ a flat tire, old chain, and dirty bike... asked for help to get it working again, was refused because I didn't schedule an appointment. So I bought new tires, tubes, chain, cleaning solution, etc... and did the work myself on the sidewalk. Asked to use a screw driver and chain tool, was told to buy them because it's "company policy". Manager had zero interest in being helpful or creating a good customer experience. Left feeling sad about humanity.
Mar 27, 2025 · Matt FoxSuper fast and super good. Got my chain and 1 brake pad replaced and I got everything tightened. I signed up for an appointment, brought in my bike for a tuning at 9am and got it back at 4pm. If you work at Stanford Research Park or nearby the shop, you are eligible for a $50 rebate from Stanford. Not bad!
Jan 17, 2025 · Kenneth XingJake gave incredible service. He fixed my girlfriend’s bike quickly and explained what he did in a way that I could easily understand. He wasn’t pushing for a sale but did answer my questions on the differences between her bike and a newer bike. He also offered to help with questions if we did decide to buy a new bike, even if it wasn’t through Mike’s Bikes. Jake is the man!
Dec 24, 2024 · Michael ZieringIncredible services, workers are super sweet and awesome. My chains were beyond rusty but somehow they make them feel brand new without any replacements! I 10/10
