ERIK'S - Bike Board Ski Reviews
I was impressed with the bike I purchased as a birthday gift for my wife. However, the customer service was subpar. After placing the order online, the bike was ready for pickup within four days. Regrettably, I did not receive any updates on the status of the bike, despite using the app. When I called two weeks later, I discovered that the bike had been ready on schedule, just in time for my wife's birthday. I had been anxious about receiving the bike before her birthday, and the lack of communication caused undue stress. On the day of purchase, I contacted the store to confirm the order and inquire about the complimentary multi-tool. Eric, the staff member I spoke with, agreed to provide the tool. However, when I arrived to collect the bike, the staff claimed to be unaware of the agreement, and I did not receive the multi-tool. In another instance, I called the store with further questions and encountered a rude staff member. He responded hastily and terminated the call prematurely, before I could finish speaking. Had I been aware of the poor customer service beforehand, I would have chosen not to make the purchase from this store.
Apr 25, 2025 · Mark YBrought an old bike in for a tune up. Staff were friendly and helped me right away. They inspected the bike while I was there. After cleaning the chain and putting air in the tires, they told me everything else was working fine so I was good to go. Didn't even charge me for the time.
May 07, 2025 · MeeHorrible customer service. The staff can’t even do a simple return. What should have taken 5 minutes took over 90 minutes. I drove 45 minutes to make a return and the woman told me it was “impossible” return something in the store that I purchased online. Then she said she “didn’t know how to do a return”. Then when I suggested she call her manager, she told me she couldn’t because her “phone was on the charger”. Eventually I picked up my own phone to call customer service myself and she finally called the manager. The return was magically made but it took 2 trips to the store and over 90 minutes of waiting. I won’t be back and I won’t be shopping online.
May 23, 2025 · Jessica HaseltineBad customer service.Dropped off an e-bike for a back rotor+brake change. Would take a week, due to their backlogs. I was told it was a 2 hour job. Stopped by a week later. My e-bike was never put on the list to be worked on. Employee told me they can do it right then but, they close in 15 minutes. No thanks! Will never go back there or recommend to anyone.
Jun 12, 2025 · Henry Humme (Sidearms)Purchased a bike at Erik’s in Vadnais Heights. Nice employees at the store but I was misquoted on the bike I purchased. I waited almost 2 weeks for the bike to arrive and then was called to say they needed approximately 600 dollars more from me. They said they had mis quoted the price and could give me 150 off or just refund me. It’s for my wife’s 40th birthday and we have been waiting on it so are just going through with it but doesn’t feel right.Just wanted to follow up on the resolution of this. It seemed like Erik’s did want to honor the price they gave me originally but apparently along the way the order for the bike was canceled all together. Not sure how it took a month to figure that out. Erik’s refunded the money for the original purchase and we are back to square one with no bike unfortunately. Disappointed to wait that long to find out it was never coming in the first place.
