Campus Student Bike Shop Reviews
Went in twice for a back tire flat and both times they messed something else up after they fixed it. First time I got the bike back the wheel was misaligned and rubbed on the frame. Second time the gear shift was messed up. Mind you I had to leave the bike overnight both times. I'll give two stars since they did fix the flats, but unless you want to wait a day just to have something else broken when you get it back, consider getting your flat fixed somewhere else.
Dec 16, 2024 · Grace RichardsManaging a bike shop is not an easy feat. The owners were very kind and provided me with a specific piece that would have been otherwise nigh-impossible to recover. The price was reasonable. The shop had many good bikes for sale, at affordable prices. I believe this shop does a good service to the community.
Apr 10, 2024 · Alberto Arlettithey fixed my breaks but they messed with my chain so now it’s extremely loose and i can’t even ride the bike. when i bought the bike from someone else, everything worked fine as in i can pedal and actually move. also not a lot of good customer service, kinda rude. i also doubt he was going to call me if i never went inside the day i picked it up. just a scam place 🙃
Aug 14, 2024 · Kei Caro-BustillosI saw the bad reviews, but figured that just buying a tube would be fine. :|Went in for a 700x45 Schrader valve tube. The old man gave me a 700x18-28 Schrader valve tube. I said that was too small. He gave me a Presta valve tube. I said it was a Presta valve tube. He gave me a 700x35-40 Schrader valve tube. I told him it was still too small. He argued with me that it would work, so I ended up just taking it because I wanted to just fix my bike as best I could and go home. They have a sign that says "Tubes $8.99," so that's what I expected the tube to cost. The old man seemed to be training a young woman who was working the cash register. Both of them were punching things into the machine, and then they charged me $21.19. I asked about it, and the man said something about the "new girl" and rung me up for $9.99. I chose not to argue over one dollar and paid it, but it's odd that neither of them noticed that the original bill was more than twice what it should have been, and his "new girl" comment came across to me as condescending (especially given his repeated mistakes). If I hadn't been paying attention, I could have walked out with a tube that was half the width it should have been, with the wrong valve type, for twice as much as it should have cost.
Jul 29, 2024 · Joe MontgomeryWalked all the way across campus for them to be randomly closed. Also the regular employees can’t replace an inner tube, so if you go on a day their mechanic doesn’t just happen to be there, you have to replace it yourself. At least they have free compressed air when they’re own.The old man who seems to be the owner is not particularly nice, although there was a nice lady who works there that helped me last time.
