★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would not return. I found one person to be quite argumentative and angry...God knows why.The other person was helpful and provided a couple really good tips about patching a tire's tube in the extreme heat here. The first guy there in the shop who assisted us needs to relax and chill and stop being so much in his role of "the expert" of all things cycles.
Jun 28, 2025 · J Scott SmithI cannot say enough good things about Bicycles of Phoenix! I took my e-bike in to get a tune up and Ryan and his team went above and beyond. I would highly recommend them, my bike looked brand new!
Jul 03, 2025 · Tarah LoftisGreat shop! Did a nice quick turn around when my derailleur cable housing broke. Had it done a day early and at a great price
May 28, 2025 · Mike CurrieStopped in for a quick question on what I had done wrong replacing my rear shifter cable and within seconds Ryan had my bike up on the rack and working perfectly... he even took a couple minutes to look it over front and rear and cycle it through the gears a few times! Thank you!
May 10, 2025 · CK KillingerMy wife and I have spent thousands of dollars at Bicycles of Phoenix at their current and previous locations at Tatum and Thunderbird and at their old location near Cactus and Tatum. We purchased all of our kids’ bikes from them, I’ve brought both of my mountain bikes in for service, new tires, new derailleurs, etc numerous times over the past 12 years.Despite all of this business over many years, when I’d come in for repairs on my mountain bike or to buy new parts, I would get ignored when I walked in the store. Many times I had to wait 10+ minutes to be helped. The attitude of the people in the store was if I wasting their time. Snarky responses to my questions. Zero help when looking at parts and gear.Really tried to like Joe and the people that have worked in the store of the years, but was never treated like a customer or a fellow cyclist. The worst thing that happened was I was promised the installation of new tires to be complete before a race I was in. The work was not complete, I was not notified, and when I came in the day before the race they were like “oh well, it’s not done”. I had to ride in the race in really bad old tires. I could have done the work myself or went to another bike shop if I’d have known they weren’t going to complete the work.We recently moved to a new town and the people at the local bike store have been friendly, helpful, responsive and communicative. This is how local bike shops should be.Kinda bummed that for the entire time I lived in the neighborhood I really wanted BOP to be my local bike shop that I could be proud to support, but it was only a one-way relationship.
