Worksman Cycles-800BUYCART Introduce
In the rich tapestry of New York City's history and enduring entrepreneurial spirit, Worksman Cycles stands as a truly iconic name. Established in 1898, Worksman Trading Corp., the parent company of Worksman Cycles-800BUYCART, is America's oldest cycle manufacturer. While the provided information might initially suggest a "meal takeaway" due to the name "800BUYCART" and the nature of mobile vending units, it's essential to clarify that Worksman Cycles-800BUYCART is primarily a manufacturer and supplier of durable, specialized cycles and vending carts, rather than a direct meal takeaway service for individuals. They are the backbone of many New York City street food vendors and businesses that rely on robust, custom-built transportation.
Worksman Cycles has a storied legacy, with its original facility located on the very footprint of the World Trade Center. For decades, they have been the leading manufacturer of industrial cycles, supplying everything from the U.S. Military to small businesses across America and the globe. Their legendary models include the iconic Good Humor Ice Cream Cart and the quintessential NYC Pizza Delivery Bike. The 800 Buy Cart division was created when Worksman Trading acquired Admar Vending, the originator of New York City's all-stainless steel hot dog cart, solidifying their role in shaping the city's vibrant street food industry.
At Worksman Cycles-800BUYCART, their mission extends beyond simply manufacturing; they empower thousands of people to create and sustain their own businesses. Their vending units are proudly made in a sprawling 100,000 square foot facility in Queens, New York City, by master craftsmen who embody a century-old heritage of quality and dedication. This commitment to American craftsmanship and supporting local and national businesses makes Worksman Cycles-800BUYCART a unique and pivotal entity in the New York landscape, a true testament to enduring quality and functional design. While the name "meal takeaway" might be misleading in the context of a consumer ordering a single meal, it points to their integral role in facilitating the very businesses that provide those meals via their specialized vending units and delivery cycles.
---Worksman Cycles-800BUYCART's factory and main offices are located at 84-06 102nd Rd, Ozone Park, NY 11416, USA. This Queens-based location is a significant operational hub for a company that has been a part of New York City's fabric for over a century. While it might not be a storefront for casual walk-in purchases of individual items like a recreational bike shop, it serves as the central point for inquiries, custom orders, and service for their specialized products.
Ozone Park, situated in Queens, offers accessibility through various transportation means. For those looking to visit their facility for business inquiries or to discuss custom orders for industrial cycles or vending carts, public transportation options like subway and bus lines serve the wider Ozone Park area. Specific bus routes would likely operate near 102nd Road, providing connections to subway stations. Visitors arriving by car will find the location accessible from major roadways in Queens, with street parking potentially available in the vicinity, though it's always advisable to confirm parking arrangements when planning a visit to a factory location.
Given its nature as a manufacturing facility and business-to-business supplier, the accessibility is geared towards commercial clients and large-scale orders, rather than typical consumer retail traffic. Nevertheless, its deep roots in New York City and its presence in Ozone Park make it a foundational part of the borough's industrial landscape. They also mention that their "Vending Units aren't just on the street, they are in supermarkets, arenas, stadiums, fairs, street events, and exhibitions," showcasing their widespread presence facilitated by their Queens base.

This suggests a strong commitment to resolving issues and supporting customers, despite any rare, isolated incidents. The overall impression is one of dedicated support.
Diverse Product Range: Beyond commercial and vending cycles, they offer recreational and adaptive cycles, including side-by-side trikes for companion situations and special needs, showcasing a versatile product line that serves a wide array of users and applications.

Apr 25, 2024 · Suzanne AndersonMy uncle bought this bike, it was expensive, He hardly rode it so he gave it to me.First time my son tried to ride it, it broke in half. It had never been stored outside. Always kept in the garage. So disappointed.

Jun 30, 2020 · Tara JonesI purchased a Worksman Big Bones Cruiser and it's been a fantastic bike for a rider my size. It's sturdy, stylish and solid as a rock. Also nice to ride a bike actually made by a USA based company. I enjoyed working with the Worksman team as they assisted me in the option selection process. Nice people to deal with...great bike to ride.
Apr 10, 2024 · Robert LanoffI have not bought a bicycle yet from them but here is why I must give them a great review and 5 stars!!! I spoke to someone there, ready to order a bike I thought would be good for us and the salesman talked me out of it. Thank God!!! It would have been the wrong purchase. He said he would rather I was happy woth my purchase than make a sale and habe an unhappy customer!!! What amazing values for a company to have, I am shocked and impressed that a company is more considerate of service than just getting money. It was an expensive bike, and even though I was doing my homework...apparently I did not do it better than speaking to them helped. I am back to better research and fundraising, but Still writing this review because I wanted to share with others what fabulous values and service this company provides. That is worth a lot.
