E-Bike Sales: The core business of the shop would be the sale of various models of electric bicycles. This would likely include different styles such as commuter e-bikes, cargo e-bikes, and potentially recreational models, catering to a range of uses and preferences among New York riders. Specific brands or models carried are not detailed in the provided information.
E-Bike Repairs and Servicing: Given the specialized nature of e-bikes, the shop would offer repair and maintenance services. This typically involves diagnosing issues with electric motors, batteries, controllers, and other electronic components, in addition to standard bicycle repairs like tire changes, brake adjustments, and gear tuning. Customer feedback, however, raises significant concerns regarding the pricing and transparency of these repair services, particularly relating to motor replacements and initial diagnostics.
Parts and Accessory Sales: An e-bike store would also stock a range of parts specific to electric bicycles, such as replacement batteries, chargers, and motor components, alongside general bicycle accessories like helmets, locks, lights, and baskets. Customer reviews indicate potential issues with pricing on items, suggesting they may be higher compared to other vendors.
Diagnostics and Inspection: It is standard practice for e-bike shops to offer diagnostic services to identify problems with a vehicle. Customer feedback indicates that the shop performs initial inspections to determine issues before proceeding with repairs. However, concerns have been raised about the clarity and completeness of information provided to customers during this initial diagnostic phase and before repair work commences.
Based on the provided customer feedback, FLY E-BIKE 113-09's features and highlights largely center around its specific location and the inherent offerings of an e-bike store. However, it is crucial to present these with the context of customer experiences.
Specialization in E-Bikes: The primary highlight of FLY E-BIKE 113-09 is its focus on electric bicycles. In a city where e-bike usage is rapidly expanding, a dedicated e-bike shop offers specialized knowledge and inventory that a general bicycle store might not. This specialization is key for customers specifically looking for e-bike sales, parts, or repairs.
Local Accessibility in Jamaica, Queens: The shop's location on Jamaica Avenue makes it incredibly convenient for residents of Jamaica and surrounding Queens neighborhoods. Its easy access via multiple public transportation options (bus and subway) is a significant advantage for New Yorkers seeking a local e-bike solution without extensive travel.
Proximity for Local Riders: For those living in the immediate vicinity, FLY E-BIKE 113-09 offers a physically close option for their e-bike needs. This "closest to home" factor, as one customer noted, can be a major draw for quick service or purchases, despite other potential drawbacks. For some, convenience of location might outweigh other factors.
It is important to acknowledge that some customer experiences highlight significant concerns regarding aspects of the business. These include:
Pricing Concerns: Customers have reported that prices for both services (e.g., motor replacement at $350) and individual items appear to be "almost doubled compared with others," leading to a perception of being overcharged.
Transparency Issues in Repairs: There are complaints about a lack of initial disclosure regarding all issues with a vehicle, with the shop stating they will "inspect first and gonna fix it," leading to unexpected changes and costs, such as a full motor replacement without prior discussion of alternatives or a clear breakdown of the problem.
Customer Service and Conduct: One review strongly criticizes the behavior of "the man at the desk," describing him as "extremely rude and nasty" and alleging potential discriminatory practices. This directly impacts the customer experience and reputation of the business.
Part Availability Inconsistency: A specific instance detailed how a needed part (clutch bell bolt) was initially claimed to be unavailable but was later provided when a friend, described as Colombian, asked in Spanish. This raises serious questions about fair and consistent service, potentially linked to racial bias.

FLY E-BIKE 113-09 Reviews
I was worse experience even repairing my bike. They are literally scammer. Whatever issues of your vehicle, they don't disclose with you at initial, they basically say " we will inspect first and gonna fix it. They just changed the bike motor and charged $350 with service. This is sounds crazy. Even the price of items are almost doubled compared with others.
Jun 02, 2025 · Kamrul islamIf I could give 0 stars, I would. I'll be honest, I've been to every bike store in Queens and Brooklyn. This shop is the closest one to my home and the worst one I've ever come across. Just my luck huh. There's one major issue with the business, the man at the desk is either racist or just a horrible person. I needed a clutch bell bolt, I didn't mind paying whatever I needed to. The guy said he doesn't have it. I have a Colombian friend, so I asked him if he could go there later and ask him in Spanish for the bolt. Wanna know something crazy? He came back with the bolt for 5$, but for me, he didn't have it. Will never go there again, even if it's the last shop on earth. Highly recommend NOT going here. The guy at the front desk is extremely rude and nasty. He is ruining the owner's business.
