T & M Bike Shop Introduce
For residents and especially the vibrant student population of Davis, California – a city famously known as the "Bicycle Capital of America" – having access to reliable, quick, and affordable bike repair is absolutely essential. T & M Bike Shop, located conveniently in Davis, aims to fill this crucial role, offering a straightforward approach to bicycle service and sales. This local, independently owned shop often caters to those in need of immediate fixes, offering a practical solution for common bike problems.
One of the most compelling aspects of T & M Bike Shop, as highlighted by a positive customer review, is its ability to provide rapid and cost-effective service: "Very nice guy. He was able to get me in last minute at the end of the day. He put a new tube in my flat tire for $15 total (parts + labor) and it took less than 10min. He told me if I had any problems with the new tube I could come back within seven days and he’d fix it for free. I’ve used his repair services before and he’s always given me great service, fast, at an affordable price." This demonstrates a strong commitment to quick, accessible repairs and a degree of post-service assurance, which is invaluable for daily riders.
However, as an independently owned establishment, experiences can vary. Another review offers a contrasting perspective: "Horrible guy. Privately owned so he changes rates for services based on customers and his mood. No warranty or guarantee on the things he sells such has tyres or tubes. Would never recommend. Money scam." This suggests that while some customers have excellent experiences with affordable and fast service, others might encounter inconsistencies in pricing or after-sale support. For locals, this indicates the importance of clear communication upfront regarding pricing and guarantees, especially for more significant purchases or repairs.

Oct 15, 2024 · Vansh ShrivastavaI haven't done a service there, but when I visited today to tighten up the bike brakes they told me that would cost you $40-$60 and I have to leave the bike there for a considerable amount of time. Brakes were not broken, I could have done it myself if I have the tools and it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes anyways. What he said: this is a very low quality bike (my bike is a $1k folding mountain bike and in new condition.)TL;DR unfriendly prices to the amount of work and underestimating the bike quality without checking it.
Sep 16, 2022 · Mohamed AbuelaninMy front wheel was stolen so I first took it to the bike barn, the bike barn said it would take at least a week to replace it and would charge me at least $100. Then I took my bike downtown which they said would cost me at least $100 plus a service fee. But I ended up finding this place and I gave my bike to the man. The replacement only took him less than 10 minutes and I thought I would pay $50 but he only charged me an honest $45. The new wheel I got looked slightly used but functional, he also bolted my tire so it can't be taken out easily. Close to campus, fast, cheap, and easy.
Nov 05, 2017 · Brandon ToyI needed a bike basket he was the only one who offered same day instillation it was one price unlike other shops who charge for the basket + instillation. Be aware it’s a little ghetto in there but he gets the job done. He used zip ties for the basket not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to work but I mean it works fine. Double check that you are satisfied with what you asked for before you leave so that there’s no issues
