Big Wheel Bicycles Reviews
My folding bike had an issue where it wouldn't pedal, and I thought a costly repair would be the only solution. Sigh, more money down the drain.Initially, I went to another local bike shop. Explaining my issue, I was told I needed a derailleur adjustment, which would cost x amount of dollars, and I'd have to leave my bike at the shop and I will be called when ready. Knowing Big Wheel Bicycles is just a few blocks away, I thanked the first shop for the estimate and headed to Big Wheel bicycles for their estimate.Soon as I walked into Big Wheel bicycles, I was welcomed and a gentleman heard my issue, told me the issue was shifting gears while stationary, and no repair was necessary. Didn't charge a fee for diagnostics/time or anything! I was soon out the door, and rode the bike around the parking lot to make sure everything was in proper working order.Big Wheel Bicycles just earned a loyal customer. They could've charged for a diagnostic and/or suggested services, a la care dealer service departments, to this bike layperson, but they weren't concerned about racking up a bill for me, which in turn will bring them my future business going forward. I am quite happy with the brief service Big Wheel Bicycles afforded me, and I highly recommend them to anyone in search of a new bike or having their bike serviced.
Apr 10, 2025 · Rodney SThe BEST bike shop in town! Kendall and the crew are great, knowledgeable , and can get you whatever you need! You know you’re in good hands when PERRY "PK" KRAMER stops in to pick one up. Thank you Kendall for making it happen!!
Jul 14, 2018 · Carlos MarquezI was looking all over LA County for this Haro Lineage Groundmaster 2023 and called around to many shops. Big Wheel Bicycles (BWB) were the only ones (Kendall) who picked up the phone promptly and inquired with Haro directly to find out if it was in stock and what not. They were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming as opposed to the other stores I spoke with. After ordering over the phone, Kendall at BWB texted me throughout every step of the process and kept me informed.Upon entering the shop a few days later, it was assembled beautifully and myself, Kendall and another employee named Duane had a wonderful conversation about bikes, the BMX scene and other current events. These fellas were informative, helpful and fun to be around. I can see why the shop has been there for 50 years. Its 360 service performed in the highest fashion. Thank you!
May 03, 2024 · Knocko NolanGreat customer service.. Owner stayed open later on a holiday to help fix my bike.. highly recommended. Fast and clean service. Don’t try another bike shop this is the spot
Jan 02, 2025 · robert cornejoAvoid this shop at all costs. Not worth your time or money to do ANY business at this place. Mickey is extremely condescending and combative towards his customers and Kendall the tech is incompetent in his repairs, and even worse will try to have you pay him again for repairs that he still hasn't finished. Go to Vince's Cyclery instead, within seconds of entering they were able to diagnose what was wrong with my bike and treated me with respect.
