SOMI BIKE Introduce
For avid cyclists and casual riders alike across Florida, finding a bicycle shop that truly delivers on both quality products and efficient service can make all the difference in their riding experience. In the heart of South Miami, SOMI BIKE stands out as a prominent destination for the local cycling community. This establishment prides itself on offering a diverse range of bicycles, from the highly sought-after Curvelo bikes to the latest e-bikes, alongside a comprehensive selection of clothing, accessories, and even cyclist nutrition favorites. SOMI BIKE aims to be a one-stop shop that caters to the varied needs and preferences of Florida's passionate riders.
SOMI BIKE understands the dynamic nature of cycling in Florida, from quick urban commutes to long-distance road rides and adventurous trail excursions. Their commitment to providing attentive staff who are ready to address "questions and concerns" is a key aspect of their service. One customer, in particular, highlighted how the team, despite being "very busy," swiftly handled a chain replacement and accessory installation "in less time than a Jiffy Lube oil change," getting them "back up and riding" when they were only in town for a short visit. This level of responsiveness and efficiency is incredibly valuable for cyclists who rely on their bikes and need prompt service to minimize downtime.
However, it is important for potential customers to be aware that while SOMI BIKE excels in many areas, there have been instances where customers experienced issues with turnaround times. One detailed review noted a "not reliable" experience, where a bicycle brought in for a tune-up, tire replacement, and brake inspection faced multiple delays, with the customer being told to pick it up on different days and not receiving proactive updates. This particular customer ultimately took two other bicycles to a different shop due to these issues. This suggests that while SOMI BIKE can deliver exceptional speed when focused, managing customer expectations and communication, especially regarding service timelines, could be an area for improvement to ensure consistent customer satisfaction across all engagements. Nonetheless, their impressive range of products and commitment to getting riders back on their bikes quickly, when operations align, remains a significant draw for the South Florida cycling community.
SOMI BIKE is conveniently located in the accessible and vibrant area of South Miami, Florida, making it a central hub for cyclists throughout the region. Its position ensures that local cyclists can access their wide range of products and services without significant travel hurdles.
The accessibility of SOMI BIKE is a considerable advantage for Floridian residents. Being in South Miami, the location offers ample free parking, which is a key convenience for customers, especially when bringing bikes for service or making large purchases. The area is generally easy to navigate by car, and its proximity to scenic cycling paths or routes makes it a natural stop for riders before or after their excursions. SOMI BIKE Reviews
Outstanding service! I’m only in town for 2-days and found myself needing a new chain. They were very busy however, they propped my bike up and replaced it along with installing some accessories I need in less time than a Jiffy Lube oil change! Their store has the much sought after Curvelo bikes along with new e-bikes. A lot of clothing styles to choose from as well as cyclists nutrition faves. The staff were all attentive to my questions and concerns and got me back up and riding. My new favorite cycle store and I will be back for their next charity fundraiser. 🚴♀️
Jan 05, 2023 · J BNot reliable. It seems they are taking on too many jobs and are unable to do the work in the time they tell their customers.Brought my bicycle there 2 weeks ago on a Thursday for a tune up, tire replacement, and for them to look at the squeaky breaks. Was told to pick it up that Saturday. Came in on Saturday and was told Sunday. Called on Sunday and was told that I should have never been told Sunday because the bike mechanics weren't there on Sundays and to come on Tuesday.Picked the bike up, looked good at first, however the breaks were still squeaking so I brought it back on that Thursday. Was told it needed new bearings and that I could pick it up on Tuesday. It is now Wednesday, I called and was told that there was an issue getting the part, and maybe by next Tuesday it would be done.Did they ever bother to call and tell me that my bicycle would not be ready? No. I speak Spanish so there was no language barrier.Brought 2 other bicycles to cycle world instead, though it is farther away, and the work was completed on time.
Feb 13, 2025 · Evan Clark1. I needed to add brake fluid to my disc brakes for only one side, when I asked about the price first time the employee said $25 but at checkout I was charged $40. I know it’s fine but still not feel comfortable.2. There's no doubt the braking power is weaker after the fluid change but the staff refuses to admit it. if they had another brand new epic evo they would know that, but they don't.3. They treated my $4000 mountain bike rudely, An employee bumped my bike hard during testing and get a deep scratch while it was placed on the rack.if I could give it 0 stars I would, but the minimum is one star. If you need rough cheap repair service then go ahead, if you have a fine bike please stay away from this shop
