Sol Mobil Electric Bicycles Reviews
Ryan is a great guy and runs a great shop. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews. They seem misplaced (wrong shop) or affected by the Pandemic or glib or bizarre. I am in no way affiliated with this shop nor Ryan. My review is 100% legit.
Apr 25, 2025 · Scott McHugo#1 Buyer beware! Ryan damaged and stole most of my Wild One Stein trike which I purchased for $5,900 from Sol Mobil. The replacement cost for the damage is $1,357: $747 (rear swingarm), $351 (carrier rack), $137 (handlebar center) plus $122 (handlebars). Replacement cost for the theft is $564: $457 (rear wheel), $107 (headrest), plus hundreds of dollars more for the stolen pedals, crankset, derailleurs, handlebar grips, disc brake, brake levers, brake cables, shifters, shift cables, etc.#2 Danger! Danger! While in Ryan's shop, my entire ELF trike was surprisingly demolished; destroyed by dismantling into a pile of parts, a bucket of bolts, and a tangle of sliced-up electrical pieces. When I went to collect the remains, Ryan had lost or stolen many of my parts including four front wheels, one rear wheel, the trunk storage, and the sliding recumbent seat. I had brought my Tactical-ELF trike (purchased for $14,000 from Organic Transit) to Ryan at Sol Mobil to assess the damage caused by a collision. I paid $1,700 just to rebuild the electrical system.
Nov 04, 2023 · Satirical SocratesRyan at sol mobile was great. I emailed him about needing m y scooter fixed and he immediately responded and within just a couple of emails he gave me diagnostic just from a couple of pics and my description of the issue. Ryan was also every flexible with my schedule. Ryan was also the only person I could find willing to work on my electric scooter. I also appreciated him coming to my house to do the repair as I couldn’t go into his shop that day. He replaced my charger port and charger allowing my scooter to charge properly in about 30 minutes.Ryan was fair with his prices and charged me fairly, will for sure be coming back with my scooter needs.
Mar 24, 2024 · Sebastien PierreLiving in Charlotte. Couldn’t find anyone (outside shipping it to the manufacturer which takes forever and is cost prohibitive) to work on a broken throttle. After making several calls to local shops in Charlotte, I found Sol Mobile up in Winston. Ryan was more than willing to help. We took a day trip and dropped the e scooter (swagtron) at the warehouse. Ninety minutes later the throttle was replaced and I was called for pickup. We just finished an hour ride and it works perfectly. We will be sure to call on Sol Mobile again in the future. I’ll add that we like their dog. Thanks for the help.
May 31, 2020 · Dave BrownRyan went above and beyond to convert my vintage bike to an e-bike, within a short deadline that I was under. He took time to explain things about the kit and workings of the e-bike and assured me of ongoing support in the future if needed. I'd recommend Ryan and Sol Mobil to anyone who wants to get up more hills, haul more stuff, ride farther, or switch to a fun, sustainable, low-impact transport method.
