Pedal Power Bike & Ski Reviews
Pedal Power customer service is the best. We've purchase two Trek bikes here over the years, and I have my trusty old Raleigh serviced once a year. A couple of weeks ago I stopped by the shop when on a ride because my chain felt stiff, and one of the guys fixed up my bike super fast and off I went! And last week my derailer got out of alignment while on a Bruce Freeman Trail ride and a young man stopped to help. Turns out he works at Pedal Power! I was back riding again in just a few minutes due to his expert help, and he even took the time to explain what he was doing in case it happened again. Thanks Blake!
Jul 04, 2025 · Isadora DeeseI recently decided to get back into biking for the first time in almost 30 years since I was a kid. I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy it or even be any good, so I picked up a budget bike from Walmart just to try it out. Unfortunately, it had some issues with the gears and brakes, so I took it to this bike shop for help. When I got there, an older guy looked at the bike and asked, “Is this new?” Every time the brakes made a sound, he grimaced and shook his head like I brought in a joke of a bike. It was pretty discouraging, especially since I was genuinely excited to start riding again. He only adjusted the gears at first and didn’t even try to fix the brake noise. When I asked about the brakes, he said it would cost $20 per side and asked, “You still want to do it?” I said yes, and he did fix them, but the whole experience left a sour taste.I know it’s a cheap bike, but for someone just getting into biking again, a little encouragement would’ve gone a long way. Instead, I left the shop feeling embarrassed and disappointed.
Apr 20, 2025 · Jinwoo KimFast service! Kind and friendly staff too! Helped me with my flat, explained why it happened, and helped me pick out a new bike pump too. Replaced my tube and made recommendations all under 10 minutes. Will be back again!
Nov 30, 2024 · Amanda LodiI cannot recommend Pedal Power enough. I recently went in for a second opinion on getting my brakes fixed on my Trek bike after visiting another shop where I was told my repair would be hundreds of dollars. John was incredibly friendly and offered multiple solutions to my issue. He actually encouraged me to try a less expensive solution. He communicated a clear timeline of when I could expect to hear back. The repairs were done on time and at an exceptionally reasonable rate. He definitely earned a customer for life after this experience.
Jun 04, 2024 · Ryan WillsonThis is an awesome bike store and I highly recommend it!My previous bike store was Belmont Wheelworks, until I moved to Concord a couple of years ago. I was happy with my previous bike shop but then discovered Pedal Power Bike & Ski in Acton and haven't looked back!I am buying my third bike from them this week. Jay is a great sales guy and John is my go-to bike tech. Both are excellent resources for anything bike: makes, models, features, accessories, shoes, helmets, etc.
