LoCo Tri Reviews
With two teens and six bikes, it can be tough to keep track of maintenance, especially when a new season starts. On Saturday, we set out to bike from Leesburg to Purcellville on the Old Dominion Trail. The night before, I noticed a damaged tire on one bike and, after multiple attempts to patch it, we decided to stop at LovCo Tri for a fix the next morning. The staff was incredibly friendly and had all the necessary tubes and tires. They replaced everything quickly and efficiently, managing other customers at the same time. The pricing was reasonable, and we had a great family bike trip to Purcellville and back without any issues. If you’re planning to ride this trail, LovCo Tri is a perfect spot for parking, bike servicing, and gear shopping. I can’t say enough good things about this store—thanks for saving our family trip!
Apr 21, 2025 · Knut RyersonI had a wonderful experience at LoCo Tri! Recently got a lower end bike to ride around with the kids, and while trying to attach an adapter for a trailer to pull the kids around, I seriously stripped an overtightened nut on the back wheel.I stopped at another shop downtown and they were pretty pessimistic that this could be fixed and weren't really willing to try. I left feeling pretty defeated and hopeless.I started heading back home feeling defeated, and just as I was about to enter the WOD, spotted LoCo Tri, and figured it was at least worth a shot to see if they might be able to help. The team there was eager to take a look to see if they could help. Adam quickly assessed the problem and knew exactly what tools and equipment the work would require. I thought it was a lost cause, but within a minute or so Adam had the stripped and overtightened nut removed, the trailer adapter in place, and the right nut replaced. Without asking, he took a few minutes to adjust, tighten, align all parts of my bike, which was greatly reassuring given I had just put it together out of a box.I was so heartened by how happy Adam was just to help someone like me out: neophyte, low end bike, not a racer or competitive athlete. More interested in helping than in taking my money, for sure. I take him at his word that the team at LoCo Tri loves to help people out. Will have a blast taking the kids out with the trailer - thank you, guys!
Apr 11, 2025 · David MarcusI stopped here right off the trail to ask about a "grinding" in my pedals. They checked it out right away (on a Sunday) and were able to tighten a loose part, no charge. They were honest and chill. Would definitely shop/stop by here again, even just to chat. They are a great shop. Very down home. Very intelligent.
May 11, 2025 · Lauren GreenWent in LoCo Tri with a plan to get a certain bike, and came out with a different bike that I love. They have a great selection of bikes (as well as running and swimming gear). They helped us find the right bike and also got it fitted at the same time. Super happy with the experience and would definitely recommend.
Nov 15, 2024 · AlleaBelle BradshawI had a wonderful first experience back in July getting a gravel bike assembled! My cycling background is in Tri, but it’s been a decade since I had raced. I wanted to pick up an inexpensive gravel bike online to ride with my kids, but have it assembled locally. I had read that the mechanics here are great and the price for assembly was very reasonable. They did a wonderful job assembling my bike and helping me make some decisions to make it safer and more comfortable. It was clear this is an entry-level gravel bike, but nobody ever made me feel bad about bringing it into a high-end tri shop and everyone was incredibly supportive and helpful. I mostly worked with Adam and Justin (I believe) and they were so knowledgeable, forthcoming, and supportive. Looking forward to bringing lots of future bikes back here!
