★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Extremely pleasant and helpful bike shop. We rented 3 e-bikes and rode to Whites Ferry and back on the C&O towpath, about 40 miles in total. We could’ve never done that on regular bikes. Great sandwiches at the cafe at Whites Ferry btw. Interesting things along the way as well such as two restored aqueducts and remnants of old canal locks. A much quicker ride would be to Point of Rocks and back. Highly recommend either one.
Mar 13, 2025 · Daniel WeberMy wife and I wanted to purchase a couple of new bikes to ride. We decided we wanted to keep it local, if possible, so we went to visit the new bike shop on Potomac St. in Brunswick, MD, Bridgeway Bikes. We had a fantastic experience with the owner, Eirik Harteis, as well as the bike mechanic, Merlin. They were so helpful, and over the course of a couple of weeks they worked diligently to qualify what type of bike would be best for each of us, as well as to demo various capabilities we should consider, and took us on test rides. All in all it was a great experience and we purchased two bikes from them, which we took home yesterday. If you’re in the market for a new bike we highly recommend giving them a shot at your business.
Mar 20, 2025 · Thomas RogersWe got an e-bike flat on C&O near Harper’s Ferry and hobbled it there, since this is the closest true bike shop. Not only were Merlin and Eric great at fixing our issues, they worked fast to make sure we would have enough daylight to make it back to DC. They also went out of their way to make sure we’d be okay on the rest of our journey with resources, tips and recommendations. Be sure to get a cinnamon bun next door at Maple & Rye - it was worth getting the flat!
Mar 21, 2025 · r peritzBridgeway Bikes built my Priority Eight bike, with carbon belt. Very friendly people, great workmanship, and excellent customer service. They also fine tuned some of the settings on the bike a week later. It’s only about a couple of blocks from the train station and would highly recommend this bike shop.
Feb 05, 2025 · Rajiv JainI found myself in Brunswick today, visiting from Maine. I’d always heard good things about biking the C&O and decided to get a rental bike at Bridgeway Bikes. Best decision ever! The owner was so warm and helpful, generous with his time and expertise. I used a new UX bike, with a belt rather than a fan, three speeds—easy! Six miles later, I was at the confluence of Shenandoah and the Potomac Rivers at Harper’s Ferry. Great experience! Thanks for making it possible Ridgeway!!!!! (*bonus—I saw a Fox, too).
