ERIK'S - Bike Board Ski Reviews
This is a well managed stored with competent bicycle mechanics who will listen to your concerns and respond in an efficient manner. I bought a Specialized bicycle here years ago and it is still serving me well. Last year I bought a Specialized e-bike here, like it a lot, and I've had no problems with it. As for auxiliary gear, if they don't have what you need, they can help you get it at another store.
Jun 13, 2025 · David WeeThe customer service is lacking heavily. I bought two bikes. I wasn’t told until after I paid that I could not take them home with me. Not until the next day. I heavily contested. They did not care. They need to do there “checks” I was told , it’s a “liability” they said. I was able to ride it with no checks? Very low tires and no helmet? Wouldn’t that be more of a liability? Anyways, that’s not really the issue. When I finally get the bikes. The tires need air, the front shocks on both bikes have zero air, the reflectors are not screwed down just dangling, no chain lube, no grease on the shocks or hub assembly, loose derailer, very squeaky brakes. Now I know a little bit about bikes but still fairly new to it. They market themselves as a first time buyers paradise. If I didn’t have the limited knowledge I do have I would have been pretty screwed. Not to mention might have destroyed one or both of the brand new not cheap bikes I just bought. Also could have been hurt myself. Potentially causing me to be turned off to the sport altogether. With good reason. Now all that being said I do like the bikes. I am happy I was able to walk into a shop and buy it in person. I do appreciate what there doing for the bike scene in that regard. It just wasn’t a great experience this time at all.
Apr 30, 2025 · G lent NovesWe purchased a bike at the Roseville store (super helpful store) but they did not have our preferred color in stock thus pick up was set up at this store. I called and asked if they could estimate when the bike would be ready.. JUST estimate. I have other things I need to do besides wait to pick up a bike and I was trying to figure out timing. The guy on the phone was super short and rude "we don't give estimates that why we have a MESASAGE saying that". The guy wouldn't even answer if he "thought" the bike "might" done by close Sunday. You'd think after spending the amount needed to buy a bike from Eric's they'd be able to give a rough estimate on pick up times. Needless to say I now have a disappointed kid at home. Hopefully the staff at this one turns over sooner rather then later, we will not use this location again.6/16 After reviewing the show owners response I am still confused why store staff was rude / unable to estimate pick up time / tell me the bike was READY when called 4:27pm Saturday rather they saying "it be ready when i got a CALL saying it would be ready that's why we have a message saying that..." I did miss the text message (I don't check unknown phone number text messages), I was told to expect a phone call thus they still have the bike and this location is closed Mondays :(
Jun 16, 2025 · Amanda SurkoAmazing customer experience. Bike was in perfect shape and employees were great with providing info. Would and will gladly do business here again.
Jun 23, 2025 · Charlotte LaurentBuyer Beware - Online Orders & ReturnsBuyer beware—especially if purchasing online. Erik’s Bike Shop provides inadequate packaging/shipping materials, which led to my returned item becoming damaged during shipping. Although their customer service representative was polite, the company itself was rigid and refused to assist me because they never received the damaged item, despite proof of shipment. They emphasized that returns are entirely the customer's responsibility, regardless of packaging or carrier issues. There's clearly a reason Erik’s Bike Shop currently holds a 1.56/5 rating on the BBB.If you're purchasing in-store, this review might not apply—but always carefully check their return policies.I don’t recommend purchasing from Erik’s unless you're prepared to assume all risk.
