Bike X Fit Reviews
What a great experience! I asked my local bike community where to get a bike fitted and Matt’s shop kept coming up. I just got into gravel biking and thinking I had a good bike, was really enjoying getting into the sport. But now that I’m fit for the bike, I’m less sore, get more power to the pedals, and feel more confident on the downhills.Matt clearly knows his stuff and makes the whole experience great. I will be bringing my other bikes (road and mountain bikes) to him soon to get fitted.
Mar 25, 2025 · Charles VickeryI had two in-studio sessions with Matt, and both were productive, efficient, enjoyable, and educational. During the first session, Matt took all of my physical measurements and made adjustments to my cleats and road bike to balance comfort and performance based on my individual goals. He had a new reasonably-priced saddle on hand that made a big difference in comfort, and he also loaned me a longer stem to try out for several weeks. During that first session, he also put me on a setup that mimicked a time trial / triathlon bike and made adjustments to it so that I could use those measurements to tailor my new bike search. During my second session, he made all the adjustments to my new triathlon bike. During both sessions, Matt was patient, analytical, professional, and friendly. He was quick to follow up with emails after both sessions and checked in weeks after. I highly recommend Matt for a bike fit if you are looking for adjustments to an existing bike or are in the market for a new bike.
Jan 06, 2025 · Nick HaluckSo glad I did this. After purchasing my first road bike last year, I got a quick fit from local bike shop. Been riding consistently and thought it was time to make some adjustments. Found Bike X Fit online and made appointment for a more comprehensive fitting. Matt was super informative, and the adjustments made were a game changer. Wish I did this sooner.
May 12, 2025 · steve aughtmanI wanted to be more confident in my setup as I progress towards longer rides. Working with Matt was a very positive experience and I am happy with the adjustments we’ve made. I would definitely come back!
Jul 03, 2025 · Svetlana NelsonMy son and I have tried out most of Matt Lynn’s bike fitting services at BikeXFit, and he’s a great guy to work with, and very fair in pricing, and consistently over-delivers. He has a beautiful space in Berkeley, and has a pretty flexible schedule. We started out with a “Fit First” bike fit which was done on a Wahoo Kicker Fit Bike, which enabled me to see what the frame geometry would feel like for a range of bikes and sizes under consideration, both stock, and with non-standard stem lengths. We also tried different bar widths, cleat setup, and optimized the saddle height. Then we moved onto saddle fitting. Matt carries (Shimano) Pro saddles, Prologo, and Ergon, and has a pretty good saddle library. We tried 5 saddles, found one that was much more comfortable than any of the 5 I’ve ever owned, and he loaned it to me to try for a few weeks of hill riding. This was the first saddle I’ve ever had that was truly a good fit, after going through nearly a dozen in over 30 years of riding – that alone would have been worth the time and money spent. Matt answered about a dozen e-mails while bike shopping, and then we set up a follow-up appointment to dial in the settings on the new Specialized Roubaix I bought. I really appreciate his patient and thorough approach to bikefitting, and give him my top recommendation – I hope more cyclists find their way to him, and take advantage of his top-notch services.
