Westside Joe's Bikes - Piedmont Reviews
Came here over the summer to get some work done on my mtb, met Dan who was super friendly, honest, and did great work. Always chatted for awhile when I stopped by unless he was slammed. 10/10. Was very disappointed to find out Dan was no longer working there when I stopped in recently and was honestly shocked at how quickly the staff openly disparaged him, quite off-putting. Was equally disappointed with them only stocking inner tubes that were $12 a pop. Don’t think I’ll be taking my business here in the future sadly.
Feb 12, 2025 · Glen CullingsBest bike shop experience. Dan is incredibly helpful and kind. My old specialized road bike needed some work (new cassettes, etc) and he helped find the right replacement parts. I dropped my bike off after work on Thursday (they're open til 7p!) and by Friday afternoon it was ready. Now it rides like a dream. Excited to have a great shop nearby!
Jul 21, 2024 · Carly AndersonI have an old commuter bike that was very sad and I knew needed a significant amount of love to be revived for safe use. I did my research, and despite my disbelief that a shop could ever have ALL five star reviews, I am so glad to report that Dan is worth the hype! I will gladly skip the closer bike shops in my neighborhood and return to Dan if I have future bike repair needs. He is a genuinely wonderful human, excellent communicator, and an absolute whiz at his job. My commuter is now my new best friend, and feels more functional and safe than it ever has! Thanks again, Dan!
Aug 16, 2024 · Zoe ShuchterThis review is long overdue. Dan was a huge help in Nov 2023 helping my wife find and fit a new Liv mountain bike. The saddle that came with the bike was not a great fit for her causing a lot of soreness and Dan's shop was new and his saddle selection limited. Still he met with us multiple times and mounted and adjusted saddles we purchased at other stores and online. He even offered to go riding with us and adjust the saddle on the trail. Ultimately we found a good enough saddle and are very happy with our purchase. Cannot recommend Dan enough and will be back.
Jul 21, 2024 · Matt FryerNew shop that's serving an area that's been really needing a great bike shop. I went there on my way home from work, when my rear derailleur needed adjusting. The price was very good and the work took less than five minutes. Dan (sorry I'm bad with names) was super helpful And really nice to talk to. We spent a few minutes yakking because that's what always happens. I'll definitely be coming back. Cool building too!
