Visited a few shops and spent about six months researching the electric bike market, electric moped style market. There are some great options online and at some local brick and mortars. Bike Attack Electric is a place I visited 7 months prior to ask some questions and they were helpful. I returned and Eric was terrific again with his explanation of why Bike Attack Electric offers specific brands, the importance of specific manufacturers meeting the new guidelines for batteries, to avoid combustion from occurring and the things to consider, weight, use, safety and comfort level. They sell the Volvo (think when Volvo was putting out a great product in say 1975-1979) of electric bikes, starts with an A because it's awesome. Moped style look cool, seem fun, if I was a teenager, but the bikes are just it for comfort, workout if you need one, commuting to work not in a car or on a bus is just awesome sauce! With the weather in So Cal usually no rain, it is just a no brainer. You all know, you can have a good driving record, etc, car insurance companies still doubling down on everyone because they can. If you are contemplating an electric bike for your daily commute because you live within 5 miles of your bread and butter, it's a no brainer. The offer a 2 year warranty.They are game to help you out with any challenges that might occur. Just an all around good experience. For those who require more miles to commute or manage your daily life, the Big Sur model would be a great choice. I went with something for daily commuting or the basic errands. Visit them, and Eric will show you why they are the top retailer for moving this Volvo of the electric bikes. Starts with the letter A, because it's awesome.

As a repeat customer, (3 times visit in a month) my recent experience was disappointing. I went in for a front bike tire brake fix, quoted at $60. Later, I received a call stating that after further review, the repair would cost around $200 +. When I decided to seek other quotes, I was unexpectedly asked for $20 fee, which wasn’t mentioned initially. The employee (Jorge) agreed that this was never disclosed at the initial touch point. The manager, aware of my frustration, didn't address the situation or tried to make thinks better. They lost me as a client and I know my business is insignificant to them, still I hope this feedback encourages the shop to be more transparent with costs during the initial touch point and improve client communication so they continue thriving.

First off let me say they you will be hard pressed to find a better group of people than the crew here. The owner is a man of his word and has gone above and beyond for me and my family multiple times. From fixing our electric bikes (not even purchased from them) to helping us find the perfect helmets, locks future bikes etc. so we are good to go!I see negative reviews on here from unreasonable people and I don’t understand how Google would even allow a business to be held accountable for people that are not following business practices that are in writing. I’ve experienced the owner stay after closing time and come down Main Street to help us fix our bikes that WE broke! Great people fantastic service and experienced techs make this place golden in Santa Monica/Venice! Don’t be fooled by a few bad reviews this place is dope! No B.S.!

I purchased two Ohm bikes from Bike attack in Santa Monica a few years ago, and the company that makes the batteries and motor went out of business. since the batteries don’t work anymore and I cannot get them replaced I am going to buy two new bikes which I called and talk to the owner. after talking to her on the two bikes, I wanted to buy. She was a lot higher than other bike stores for the same product. She said she wasn’t making any money on the bikes and gave me a story that she’s doing me such a favor. if you want to pay more money for bikes, I suggest you go to Bike attack otherwise, check other stores. I just read the response from the owner who I talked to and Of course they’re lying because they don’t wanna lose business on reviews. She did offer me $500 off the price but she started so much more than other Bike stores and even after the $500 off they were still a lot more Than other Bike stores. You can go on the website Aventon bikes Level.2 Commuter and see there for sale for $1695 each and I bought it for a lot less with free assembly than what bike attack was going to charge me The bottom line don’t trust this bike store check it out yourself from other stores.
