5050 Skatepark Reviews
Great place! I took my young sons and they had a blast. Lots of variety and room to to get around. We went early and it was just younger kids which was perfect for us but as the afternoon came on the older crowd started showing up. The owners are very friendly and it is a great atmosphere. We will definitely go back! They also sell and rent various scooters, bikes , protective pads and apparel with their logo.
Mar 10, 2018 · Gary HalsteadThis place is super fun and really cool, reminds me of the days hanging out at the local punk rock record store back in the late 80's. More importantly, my son loves it here. The staff is very caring and all the customers are respectful and courteous. We come all the way from Washington Heights and now that I have figured out the timing of the subway, ferry and Staten Island commuter rail, it is well worth the trip. HIghly recommend it!
Mar 20, 2017 · deidra gorgosAwesome experience! They treat you like family. Fun for kids of all ages. 90s punk on the radio, cool breeze coming off the water. $14 for 3 hours, well worth it!
Jun 22, 2019 · Jesse ContiThis place is not bad. It has nice ramps for beginners and some large sections for bigger rider. However, some of the locals (I believe one of their names in "Cam" or "Cameron") are very toxic toward kids (like my son). Some of the Bmx riders (who are under 18) do not wear helmets either (not a very good example). However, Angelica, the owner, is very nice though. It's a good park but not very nice local people.
Oct 11, 2017 · Fish Striderthey really gotta improve the setup, it feels really unorganized. All the obstacles are setup in a sloppy way. During a rainy day, everything's soaked. Water was gushing in from parts of the roof. They need to at least arrange the obstacles better. They have the materials. They just need to actually set it up. Place use to be awesome, going downhill fast though. Very friendly owners, and community. But they just need to setup some of the park better. Would take as little as a day to get a solid flow to it. NYC kids need a place to skate on rainy days. So they rely on 5050 Skatepark. At least give it a good setup, or something less sloppy. The set up use to be clean and had great flow. But today for example, the setup was terrible for the street obstacles. Great price though, but really need to improve the setup!
