(This post is a bit of a mess. If you don't feel like reading it all: please know that I am more than satisfied with my experience at this shop. The workers and clientele they've cultivated are good people, for sure.)I bought a bicycle roughly 3 weeks ago as a hail mary in regards to transport. I'm a freshman at a local college and unlike my actual house, there's a lot of stuff to do, here. Unfortunately, I don't have my car with me, nor does my pride allow me to ask others for a ride. A service like Uber would break the bank and be unreliable; I wanted a form of transportation that I could control the travel of, if that makes sense. Walking isn't optimal, because even in a college town like this, there are hardly any sidewalks. Thus, I concluded that some sort of bicycle would be the best form of transportation overall for what I needed, if I could learn to ride it well.I walked to this store to find it overflowing with bicycles! I guess that makes sense, but the sort of eclectic assortment of used bikes was really charming and quirky. I beleive I spoke with a man named Brad (the son of the elderly gentleman you may find in the adjacent coin shop). I told him of my plight, my budget, and my experience (none). He was by all means accommodating and friendly. Easy to talk with, knew what he was doing, and answered my questions without judgment. I selected my bicycle, paid (it was $250ish for the bike itself, along with a lock and a tail light), and walked it back to the campus so I could learn to ride it.To curtail my rambling: Even though $250 is by no means inexpensive, the bicycle (affectionately named Wheel of Fortune) has opened my world to not only faster travel, but to exercise as well. Today I rode her off campus for the first time, down to a shopping center some an errand, and though I couldn't pedal all the way there due to frequent large hills, the sections I did bike were wonderful and joyous. So, in conclusion, this shop is wonderful for beginners such as myself. The folks there are very kind, knowledgeable, and generous. I hope to be back soon when I finally decide to get a bicycle basket. - Leigh
