Honestly a little disappointed. When I first came in to make an appointment to have my bike tuned up, I was greeted very friendly and welcoming; the vibe was different after the fact and maybe I’m just misunderstanding social cues as I’m fairly new to Albuquerque and not familiar with the local customs. But what really disappointed me is the problem that I came for didn’t seem to have been addressed. I requested a tuneup and also stated that I had a concern about my bottom bracket. The shop claimed that there was nothing wrong with the bottom bracket, but yet as soon as I got back on the bike, the same clicking was present. I was told that the bike was taken for a test ride and they did not or weren’t able to reproduce the same effect. I don’t see how that was possible, especially when I see certain things that a professional bike shop shouldn’t have been done… they failed to do. First off, they did not properly align the brake levers to be at the equal angle on both sides, as well as the same distance from the grip. I also had them replaced both front and rear brake pads, and as you can see by the pictures that the right barrel adjuster is still set out, rather than sitting flush in the start position. And maybe things are different here in New Mexico than in Arizona but when you spend over $100 for a tuneup, you expect at least the bike to be wiped down and look like it’s been worked on. Also the chain was not lubed, which is also a surprise. And although the tuneup does not include new cables, as you can see also by the pictures that the cables were in poor condition and I would’ve gladly had them replaced rather than be in the condition they are now in. This is my only source of transportation and count on it, however, I feel I need to take it to a different shop to have it serviced correctly.Update: after spending well over an hour adjusting, aligning, cleaning up the bike, lubing the chain. I noticed that they didn’t even properly seat my brand new brake pads, having them properly make contact to the rim. I took care of this myself right away as this is my only source of transportation and need to be able to stop. (Added two additional photos and removed one more star).

The majority of my experiences here have been positive. Good work for a good price. One of the people here, who is friendly and who has helped me previously, said he would order a small tube for a jogging stroller and call when it arrived. When I followed up two weeks later, there was no history of the order and the man I spoke with over the phone was rude/dismissive, saying that they wouldn’t have placed an order like that.

When I moved to ABQ I tried nearly every bike shop before I found two wheel drive! They are the best.- I've never had to make a appointment to drop off my bike. This shop is tiny but they always take your bike.- Quick repairs, every time. Usually less than a week.- Flexible and knowledgeable. If you can't afford to fix everything right away they have a solution to get you out the door until you can afford the repair.-They have never told me they don't make a part anymore or can't fix it.-We have brought about 6 different bikes here now! The last two are old ones I am giving to a friend so him and his kids can get into biking. Brian has been great communicating all the repairs needed and ones that can wait.Brian has been a huge help to me and my wife. Good dude, good mechanic.I would say the nearly 5.0 rating here is pretty accurate.

Went in just to see if they had a solid commuter/rolling around town bike and told one of the guys what I was looking for and he pointed me right to a bike I had my eye on. So part of this was luck, but I've been to many bike shops and these guys are nonsense and not condescending (sometimes that's a thing at bike shops) and very helpful. Also, the bike was on sale so that was a bonus. Now I have a great bike and after a good experience there, I'll be back for maintenance and repairs I'm sure.
