Tony's Bicycles Introduce
For many New Yorkers, a bicycle is more than just a mode of transportation; it's a way of life, a form of exercise, and an escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Whether you're commuting through the boroughs, exploring waterfront paths, or hitting the trails, having a reliable bike and a trustworthy local shop is essential. In the heart of Astoria, Queens, Tony's Bicycles has been a familiar name for decades, serving the diverse cycling needs of the community. This established bicycle store offers a range of services from sales to repairs, aiming to be a convenient one-stop shop for local riders.
The importance of a local bike shop cannot be overstated, especially in a city like New York. While online retailers offer convenience, they can't replicate the hands-on experience, personalized advice, and immediate support that a neighborhood store provides. A local shop like Tony's Bicycles allows you to physically inspect bikes, get expert fitting advice, and receive quick, professional service when your bike needs attention. This direct interaction and specialized knowledge are invaluable, ensuring your cycling experience remains smooth and enjoyable. Tony's Bicycles strives to fulfill this crucial role within the New York cycling landscape, catering to both casual riders and dedicated enthusiasts.

Tony's Bicycles Reviews
Customer Service experience/review.If anyone is considering purchasing a new bike and wants to ensure they will have a good customer experience should anything happen post purchase please reconsider if you are going to shop from Tony's Bicycles & Bike Stop (same owner).Synopsis: We purchased 1K worth of bikes. Within 2 weeks a bike broke down completely in the middle of the street we had to carry it no wheels turning. We are getting the run around to get it fixed. The owner can only be found occasionally on Sunday's we were told and he has a no contact me policy per his team and his team is limited to what they can do to help they say.We were told that most bike places are expensive; so if customer service is on the top of the list this place is not the place to experience that. They are great for the sale and that is where it ends.
May 30, 2025 · Ana⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️If I could give this place 15 stars, I would.I absolutely love Tony’s Bicycles and the owner. I’ve taken my bike here multiple times for everything — tune-ups, repairs, small fixes — and the experience is consistently excellent.Compared to the shops I used in Manhattan and Brooklyn (even the UES spots I thought would be “top tier”), Tony’s is faster, more reliable, and they use OEM parts when possible without needing to be asked. They’ll often fix little things for free, like straightening bent handlebars or replacing end caps, just because they care. What’s even better is you don’t always have to explain what’s wrong — they’ll often spot issues before they become problems. Last summer, Tony warned me that part of my chain was warped. Fast forward a year, my derailleur snapped — exactly what he warned could happen. They replaced it all and had me back on the road in no time.If you’re ever unhappy with something, just ask to speak to Tony directly. He genuinely wants to make things right. Also, keep in mind that not everyone there speaks English as a first language. What might sound blunt or rushed is a PROFESSIONAL trying to assure you they have everything under control in their best English.I’m honestly shocked to see any poor reviews. This is a local gem. I’ll keep coming back again and again.
May 18, 2025 · Clarence StephenTook my bike in to get maintenance. I was told I would get called if I needed to change anything. Nothing was changed when I came to pick it up according the guy working there. Alignment, cleaned, checked the breaks and air in tires. $70. When I asked him what was done to it if nothing was changed he had a condescending tone and said “that’s our rate, we did everything”.how do you charge so much and not replace anything? Won’t go back there again .
