I’m new to biking and needed a reliable way to commute to work, so I trusted Peachtree Bikes an highly reputable bike store in the city and purchased a bike from them just yesterday. Less than 24 hours later, on my very first ride, I nearly suffered a serious injury because the pedal came loose mid-ride. This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s dangerous and completely unacceptable.While the in-store customer service was great, it clearly doesn’t make up for the lack of care in ensuring their bikes are safe to ride. The fact that basic maintenance wasn’t properly checked before selling me this bike is beyond frustrating. And now, on a Sunday, I have no way of reaching them until Tuesday—leaving me stranded on the side of the road, four miles from home, with no way to fix this.This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and honestly, I feel let down. If you’re considering buying from Peachtree Bikes, think twice and double check everything on your bike before leaving the store.UPDATE: They attempted to right their wrongs and picked my bike up to repair the pedal, THEN called me a day later to tell me they would replace my entire bike by the end of the week (This was Monday). End of the week came and I asked them for an update on the new bike and they told me that the bike was still in transit and should be there by the end of the NEXT week, since it was going to be two weeks past me purchasing this bike and looking to get a PEDAL replaced I expressed to them how I felt inconvenienced in this whole situation and how I felt like in totality I just needed a pedal & although I appreciate the replacement I would've taken my original bike back with a fixed pedal. The guy over the phone at the time let me know how I should've been THANKFUL that they were attempting to replace my bike as they don't do that often and that they would now be issuing me a refund since I felt inconvenienced for the delays. After a full week of waiting I was left with NOTHING, NO bike, NO pedal I was just told that I was pretty much being ungrateful.On the same day, I went to Big Peach Brookhaven and told them my situation with Peachtree Bikes. They told me that the situation is extremely odd but should've been checked by Peachtree Bikes at the time of purchase as well as the repair should have only been a one day turnaround (it was a pedal replacement). They then hooked me up with a fully functioning bike AND it came with a free pair of shoes, I couldn't be more grateful for the assistance and knowledge they provided me as I now have my means for transportation to and from work!Long story short- GO TO BIG PECH FOR YOUR BIKE PURCHASE

Can’t say enough good about this place. The process of buying my bike was great. They are very knowledgeable and were patient with all my questions. I also had to have some warranty work done on the bike and they did a great job. I highly recommend them.

A pleasure to deal with. I felt I was met at my level by experts and enthusiasts of cycling. I was zeroed in on a specific bike and was given thoughtful and not pushy suggestions for accessories. I was even waved off of one accessory. I liked how they were giving the same level of attention to someone who needed the kickstand tightened on an old Huffy as there were to someone buying a new bike.

I want to commend Charlie and Derrick for their excellent service. I came in needing some mechanical service to my adult tricycle and I've never ridden it before. They stated they don't usually do tricycles, but made an exception for me. Both were very professional, was straightforward with me with pricing, and let me know how long it would take to service. Services took less than 3 hours to complete and I was able to get my adult tricycle back the same day. I highly recommend their services if you want to get your bicycle 🚲 repaired.

Team is knowledgeable and friendly but need to work on their communication. I took my bike in for a tune up as part of the lifetime tuneup warranty that comes with purchasing a bike. When I came to pick it up they informed they had done additional work that I was charged for. If additional work needs to be done they need to ask for approval before doing the work and charging for it. Left a bad taste in my mouth from the interaction
