(mend)bicycles Reviews
I bought a used bike ($400) from Mend a few days ago. The left shifter wasn’t working too great and I realized that the bike wasn’t what I needed, so I went back to return it. The owner charged me a complete tune up (around $150), which I would understand if I had ridden the bike more or had damaged the bike in any way. I don’t think that this is fair to me, especially because I was not informed of this policy at all. I would have been fine paying a minor charge for them to look at the bike, but paying over a third of the price I paid for riding a bike less than 20 miles is unreasonable.
Jul 04, 2025 · SajelI had a pretty quick urgent request for a quick repair and James was able to accommodate me within the same day. He was able to adjust my derailers and take care of all my issues right away and was able to give me a great advice on next steps to ensure proper maintenance and potential preventative maintenance for future rides. Highly recommend me over many other shops here in Seattle
May 17, 2025 · Victor BarrI love this bicycle store. They are everything they claim to be on their website, and more. Personalized, high quality, and judgment-free service. A great neighborhood bike store!
Jun 28, 2025 · Janet PelzWalked in here on Friday about 4:30pm. Wanted to inquire about ordering a bike. Four employees working and not one acknowledged my presence in the store. Browsed for about 5 minutes, stood at the counter. No acknowledgment. Not even a greeting. All four employees just continued talking to each other. It’s clear they had no interest in making a bike sale.
Apr 12, 2025 · MikeHighly recommend this LBS. Got a new bike here, whole process was very streamlined and smooth with minimal hiccups. Despite supply chain shortages (out of bike shop's control), I was very satisfied with the whole experience and picked up the new build to my satisfaction. Thanks for everything!
