Fridley Heights Cyclery Reviews
Went in to ask about getting a repair. The woman behind the counter kept her distance towards the back area and scrunched her face up when I walked in. When I approached the counter she asked what I wanted, keeping a scowl on her face. There were no other customers and she seemed put out that she had to interact with me. I explained what I needed. Her expression and demeanor said I wasn't going to get any help here. She said we don't even repair inner tubes. Okay then. I asked if she knew anywhere that might repair these items. She didn't know. So unhelpful. Such an unpleasant experience. Wish I'd called beforehand then I wouldn't have had to have this negative experience in person. Will not take my bike there for maintenance. This singular experience gave me all the info I needed to decide I'll go somewhere else even though this is within walking distance.

May 16, 2025 · Jim PritchettVery disappointed in this shop. Brought in two small tires for my dog's stroller with the intention of having the treads and/or inner tubes replaced or serviced. The man and woman both looked at the crooked valves that came with my tires' inner tubes and said "oh they're fine, you're good to go" and then sold me a $50 bike pump which I later discovered couldn't fit onto the crooked valves because the spokes were in the way. Luckily I found another, more knowledgeable bike shop way down near Powderhorn that were more than happy to address my above concerns by saying "No, the valves are not supposed to be crooked" and replacing my inner tubes with new ones that had valves sticking straight out so I could use the bike pump that this place sold me. Don't get me wrong; it's a nice tire pump with a PSI gauge. It just wasn't what I wanted or asked for, and costed me twice as much as the other place's solution. Do not recommend.
Apr 05, 2024 · Gary CarverI bought a bike from them maybe 12 - 14+ years ago which cost me nearly 1000 dollars. I ended up getting back issues and then Achilles issues and never used the bike much at all. Now a days when I try to get some distance out of the bike the rear tire keeps twisting and rubbing on the frame. They tried to fix it and couldn't figure it out. I took it to cars and they fixed it. Bottom line is they didn't stand behind what they sold. They also had gotten paid to tune it up and fix the shifters because in storage some things got messed up. You'd think that they could look at the fact that I gave them nearly 1400 dollars to ride that bicycle and do everything possible to get it so I can ride it.
Jul 02, 2023 · Danny PeltierWorst Experience I've ever had at a bike shop!Im not sure if it was because I have tattoos or if I just looked intimidating but for some reason the woman working the counter must have thought I was going to steal something or just didn't want to be at work that day. Not only did I have to wait for almost 35 minutes to get my questions answered but I got the impression she didn't want my business. Which ultimately was fine because I found everything I wanted to buy on Amazon for almost 35% less anyways. I tried explaining that I didn't like being shadowed through the store while browsing and her condescending attitude was going to lose her a $350 sale but all I got was a lame explanation that made no sense whatsoever. I will NEVER come here again! They offer no return policy on any of their items and when asked about defects she stated that they have never had anything that was defective and I could not return anything. Funniest part was that I had just pointed out how the rack system I was wanting to buy had been assembled incorrectly and was defective. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! RUDE EMPLOYEES AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!
