It is important to acknowledge customer feedback when forming an overall picture of a business. Some reviews mention challenges with customer service and accessibility, particularly concerning opening hours and parking. One customer reported a negative interaction regarding parking and rudeness, stating, "He was very rude and I will definitely not be patronizing his store. Also I won't recommend any of the other dance families go there either. He lost another customer today. And based on previous reviews, I'm not the first." Another review detailed issues with bait quality and pricing, along with perceived rudeness: "I walk in then he roles his eyes at me I asked for a dozen shiners and he gave me not even 10 half dead ones then tried to charge me 12 bucks for them when any where else you can get 2 dozen for that price. Meanwhile he is on a call with a friend the whole time I’m trying to talk to him the only thing he said to me was how much they were going to be. DONT go here not even one star. Such a rude guy." These specific instances suggest potential inconsistencies in customer experience and store operations that potential visitors should be aware of.

Went there to get some shinners because I heard he sells them I walk in then he roles his eyes at me I asked for a dozen shiners and he gave me not even 10 half dead ones then tried to charge me 12 bucks for them when any where else you can get 2 dozen for that price. Mar 15, 2025 · Mr DillyDillMy child attends dance lessons next to this shop from 10-11 every Tuesday, and has for the last month. Every time we go I look in the window of Fresh Ayer Sports because I want to go in and check out their bikes for myself and ask for his advice about best local fishing spots and pick up some bait. Their door says they open at 10am on Tuesdays, but until today they've never been open when I leave around 1115. So today as we walked out I saw the door open and was excited to stop in.Then I saw that he had filled the parking spot next to me with bikes and disc golf equipment, and I couldn't open my car door to load some stuff in. So I went in and very kindly said 'excuse me. I can't get into my van. Is it possible to move one of those bikes please?' He responded 'is it possible for you not to park in my spaces? Those are for my customers.' (Nevermind that I was planning on being a customer or that he has zero signage up saying not to park there.) I responded with, 'oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see any no parking signs.' And he said 'well they're for my customers and if you park there then they have to park all the way back there.'I rolled my eyes and was petty and got in my car and loudly told my kids that I definitely will not be a customer now. And then he proceeded to put his disc golf stuff in the spot I was just in so STILL no one could park in 'his' spot.He was very rude and I will definitely not be patronizing his store. Also I won't recommend any of the other dance families go there either. He lost another customer today. And based on previous reviews, I'm not the first.
Oct 01, 2024 · Andrea HartingerAgainst my better judgment, I decided to visit Fresh Ayer Sports because I had heard terrible stories about this place. However, it was the closest to my house, and I had limited time for what I thought would be a simple fix. It turned out to be a brilliantly terrible experience. From the moment I walked in, the shop was disorganized and cluttered, making it difficult to navigate. However, the real issue was with the owner. He was incredibly rude and dismissive, ignoring me for an extended period before finally acknowledging my presence. When he did, his attitude was condescending and unprofessional. He attempted to massively overcharge me for a simple service, and when I questioned the price, he became visibly angry and started yelling. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in any business. To make matters worse, I overheard him using derogatory language regarding another customer. This is beyond unacceptable and made me extremely uncomfortable. It seems the owner has devoted himself to figuring out how to make the worst possible experience for a customer. Overall, this was the worst experience I could imagine in a bike shop. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place at all costs. The owner’s behavior is disgraceful, and the shop itself is a mess.
Jun 16, 2024 · Levi DanielsWent to this store in search of a simple road bike, when we walking in the store was trashed and extremely disorganized. Legitimately tripping over random piles of stuff, store owner completely ignored us for about 8-10minutes while walking through his store. As he continued to have a heated conversation which appeared to be a with a customer over a repair. And then proceeded to call her derogatory names after hanging up. Was super rude to my 14 year old brother and yelled at him over simple questions. Do not go here the owner doesn’t even have self care for himself so how can he help you, go to pedal power instead
Aug 01, 2024 · Joe MeadowsI can’t thank Chuck enough for encouraging me to bring my son's bike in the same day I called to ask if he might be able to take a look. A couple of other shops I had reached out to either told me parts for the particular brand we have were hard to get or that they had a back log of repairs before even taking a look at it. Turns out it didn’t need any special parts and Chuck was able to fix it in 10 minutes for a fair price. He made my son a very happy camper!
