My wife & I have been riding tandems for nearly 30 years. We recently decided to explore the assist option. We came to the shop for a visit, and ordered a Tailwind to fit our measurements. We were treated very well throughout the initial consultation, and all the way through completion (completed ahead of schedule). We have ridden it over 200 miles now using assist on climbs only. We live in the mountains of New Mexico and we know by now that riding like this will allow us 100 miles, or more between battery charges. We fit comfortably on this very well built tandem.

I was a very picky client looking to paint my bike a very specific shade of Pink. Brian Davis was super nice and was eager to make me a happy a happy client. He took me to paint shops to custom make a shade of pink for me until I was happy. They matched the paint color to my car almost to the T. My car was not painted but it was a wrap. Other companies said they couldn't color match it. The end result of my bike was A+. The attention to detail was wonderful. They took my bike apart and put it back together for me. I cannot be happier. I will recommend Davinci Tandems to everybody I know. Thank you Brian for being a friend and great business owner.

So ... this review is about ten years after the fact, but timely. Years back my wife and I were tired of paying the airlines ridiculous penalty fees for flying our bikes with us. Renting bikes at our destinations could be sketchy. My wife in particular for her neck, back and hand issues needed her fitted bike. Working with the folks at Da Vinci Designs was like working with good neighbors that we had known for a long time. They took my wife’s Bianchi, added S&S couplings and custom re-painted her frame to her very exact specifications. Beautiful job! They then added the couplings to my vintage 1972 Raleigh Gran Sports, being careful not to damage the original graphics during the brazing process. Ten years later those two bikes have flown with us in standard, luggage size suitcases from coast to coast and all over Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii. They have made our vacations special for so many years now. Thank you!

We bought a global adventure road bike in September 2014. We got the upgrade disc fork and white industry hubs along with the kandy paint. We have not yet traveled far where we had to break down the bicycle but we have ridden the bike on many rides around New Mexico. There are plenty of climbs and downhills. This bicycle is wonderful. It is rock solid on the descents and climbs great. The components are top notch and do not have to be upgraded. I only changed my saddle. Da Vinci designs is a great company. They have been very responsive to all inquiries and requests

Four years ago we purchased our Global Venture from Da Vinci Designs. Since then we have ridden it 23000 miles in the US and Europe. We found the purchase experience, tour of their manufacturing facility and the tandem to be wonderful. Both Todd and Brian were extremely knowledgeable and conscientious in their desire to get the right bike and fit for us. As a matter of fact, we recently purchased their Symbiosis XC MTB tandem and have been riding the local single track as well as some Forestry roads. We found this second purchasing experience to be equally as good. Both tandems are extremely well constructed and durable. The few times we have had an issue Todd was readily available to make the adjustment or help us replace a part.The independent coasting design was a key factor in our decision to purchase each tandem. For the road we enjoy the ability to stand and stretch independently from each other - but both of us still pedal otherwise! For the MTB the ability of the stoker to adjust their pedals according to obstacles along the trail (like the captain can) has been of great value.I would highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a Tandem to contact Da Vinci Designs.
