Brooklyn Bicycle Center Reviews
My local bike shop closed when the owner retired. After getting a complete blow out of a flat. I googled nearby bike shops. Brooklyn Bike Ctr popped up as the closest I had to take the train a few stops. When I arrived Margo let me know that she would diagnose the damage. Lo and behold she was able to repair it that same day which was awesome, since I’d had the flat for a week at this point. She changed the inner tube and tire, added air to 2nd tire . It was a top quality job using great materials and at a decent price. I’m so pleased that I found my new bike shop, just a 15 min ride from home. She even shined it up to look like brand new. Thank you Margo.
Jun 15, 2025 · Jill HartzogI've been there a few times to buy tools for a project bike I'm working on and plan to visit again soon. The owner was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and she even gave me some helpful riding tips that I didn't previously know about that will help keep me safe! The shop has a wide array of tools and accessories, in addition to doing repairs. It's basically a one-stop shop for all your cycling needs!
Jun 22, 2025 · Donald CeusI recently had my wife’s bicycle worked on at Brooklyn Bicycle Center and I’m very happy to say, it turned out stunning! The job wasn’t easy as the bike was in need of a major overhaul (they did a total breakdown, cleaning, greasing, and rebuild!). What also made the restoration especially difficult was that her bicycle, a Dawes Kingpin we shipped over from England, was an old vintage model (probably 60s ?). This made certain parts close to impossible to get. But Margot was relentless in chasing the right parts down, and restored it to a beautiful riding machine. It wasn’t cheap..and it took some time to finish..but it’s very much worth it, when you want things done properly and when you want them to last.
Jun 19, 2025 · Arsenio AssinMargo was extremely inviting and friendly. She assessed my tires and saved me from wasting money! She filled up my bike with some air has been running great since! Definitely will be back!
Jun 05, 2025 · Rajah ChopraThe bike shop is open seven days a week despite what Google says. The owner is very nice and fix my flat quickly. It’s a small business that’s been around ninety years.
