Bicycle World Reviews
I needed a replacement nut for my son’s front wheel (which he had lost when disassembling his bike to make it fit in our trunk). It was 5:55pm on Thursday night and all other bicycle shops were closed and this was pretty close to their closing time as well. They answered the phone and said to come on over and that he would help find a solution. I went in and Tom searched through his stock of replacement parts and found a replacement nut and washer, as well as an extra set in case we lose it again. He did not charge us anything for his effort and service and I just am very grateful for his willingness to help. I’m sure it wouldn’t have been expensive, but it’s the gesture that I appreciate. Next time we need anything for our bikes we’ll be sure to return to this shop.
Apr 19, 2025 · Coral CohenI was contemplating not writing this review but figured I had to for future customers and the owner.I purchased a giant stance two on Saturday march 14, 2020. From the lake park location. They did nothing to calibrate or adjust any other components such as the seat the rear and front shocks and derailer. They bench tested the bike and told me all was in working condition when, I got back home to Stuart I realized that I couldn’t even ride in the hardest gear because the chain kept slipping.I called the Jupiter location they were actually the first location that I went to and they said come on in to get it adjusted. Here’s where things get odd. When I arrived the salesman seemed annoyed that I ended up at the lake park location long story short when I was there earlier in the day there was only a medium frame I was looking for a large. I asked politely if by chance they had a large frame at another store he told me that there was a giant stance one at the Lake Worth location. That bike is roughly $300 more when I left I accidentally selected the lake park location, when I arrived lo and behold was the bicycle I was looking for I kind of feel like they tried to pull a bait and switch and sent me to a location that had a more expensive bike because the salesman specifically said oh he’s not going to get credit on the sale. I would think the owner could care less what location I purchase the bike at as long as I’m getting what I want.3 hours at the Jupiter location & my $1,679 bike was not even in riding condition. See picture of metal gouged out from chain not staying on. One tech even said he “hates high end bikes” really?!!! That’s all you sell. I ended up bringing my brand new bike to a local shop by me & they did what should have been done for a fee of course. You know calibrated the derailer shocks wheels, handle bars etc. the only thing bicycle world did was level the seat lmao.Bottom line these Jokers are not qualified by any means to sell high end full suspension mountain bikes let alone work on them. 3 hours at a location for them to let me leave with a bike that was NOT safe is unbelievable. The tech even asked if I could leave the bike so he could call giant, said it’s factory problems. It’s brand new!!!! The biggest issue was the chain slipping this is a easy fix if you know what your doing, the SRAM derailer had to be adjusted. I was told there were other bikes doing the same, they seem to think manufacture defects but no it’s bad tech defects. 30 minutes at a different bike shop got me on the trails in JD. The only reason I gave 2 stars is for the price point, but I could have just went & purchased the bike from giant direct for same price. Hi he fact they even got my money makes Me sick to my stomach. If you don’t mind spending a little extra money for a good tech to get your bike working after you purchase it from bike world go right ahead.
Mar 18, 2020 · Jameson MuredduSuper helpful and nice staff help me pick out the best bike for my needs.
Jun 08, 2025 · Andres CundiffI love this bike shop! The man who works here is cool. I've been here twice for bike repairs and was always satisfied. Both times they were able to work on my bike right away (I stopped by on the weekend). They were especially my saviors when I totaled my rear wheel and they replaced it with a much needed higher quality wheel which allowed me to bike faster and further than before. Besides my initial concerns, they also went above and beyond by checking the other components on the bike, doing a tune-up for the brakes and greasing the bike chain. Will be my go-to bike shop :)
Sep 02, 2023 · Gabriella Gima (Gaby)It was my first visit today and I must say I was extremely pleased with their service and quality. They were friendly from the moment I walked in. Went in to buy some spokes to fix myself and ended up getting the wheel spokes professionally replaced and trued. I couldn't refuse their price and eagerness to help. Waiting was a joy as they played great 80s songs on their sound system. The store is very clean and merchandise is displayed very well. They have so many awesome bikes. Kyle assisted me and John did the repair. Kyle went out of his way to take care of my bike. This is how bike shops should operate...with excellence. I will definitely go back. Thank you, Joe
