Richard's Cyclery Reviews
I purchased a bike from this shop and later recently bought a basket for my cute bike. Was surprised with basket price...I did not know how they are pricey. So after that I compared with amazon...At first I made a mistake bcz compared with the wrong one..not the same basket from the shop and thought Richard charged a lot more than amazon...later found out he changed very reasonable and his shop has good quality products ...also appreciate that he put some air on my tires. Great service!
May 26, 2022 · Helen YunI usually hate writing negative reviews, but I think it's worth letting people know what to expect when dealing with Richard's Cyclery.I went to Richard's Cyclery with a set of hubs and rims that I needed to have laced up. Before dropping everything off, I called to make sure they would be able to procure the specific parts I wanted for my wheel build. So far so good. The following day, I went to the business to drop my parts off. I should have turned around immediately and gone elsewhere without even speaking to anyone. There is junk everywhere and every inch of counter space is covered with old spare worn out parts. If a business whats to instill confidence with patrons, perhaps they should keep their place nice and tidy.I patiently waited for the parts to show up so they can build my wheel, but almost 3 weeks later, they hadn't touched my wheels. They claimed the parts had just arrived, mind you, they ordered the wrong type of spoke and the wrong length. I kindly paid the shop $100 because the person working behind the counter complained about how much DT Swiss Revolution spokes are; again the wrong spokes were ordered as I wanted the Comps. I am going to take my wheels somewhere else.I cannot recommend this place.
