Excellent customer service. Text when it was ready. Friendly. I went in because i had an old golf push cart with no air in the tired. Was fully expecting to have all 3 repaired. When i went to go pick it up it only needed 1. Honesty!!
Jun 05, 2024 · james gleasonWas recommended by another shop that didn't have a helmet that fit. That shop is great as well!So it was Clark cycles, sad to see them gone. But had a great experience and purchased a few things.I had a few issues with my bike on a ride and the salesman came out and rode it and gave me some tips. Great conversation. Definitely a stop if your in the area.Felt very comfortable like talking with an old friend.
May 14, 2023 · Jose FarwellI desperately want to give the shop less than three stars, but bear with me. We purchased a used bike for my daughter upon closer inspection. The tire had a bald spot. The front brake wasn’t working, and the rear brake was rubbing against the rim. We also found out that one of the rims was bent. So for this particular shop in Willimantic, I found that this was not the best place to get a used bike. We identified the issues and took it to pedal power in Vernon (we were near there when we identified the brake issue). We had only identified one of the many issues, but Steve at the shop in Vernon identified all the other issues and repaired it on the spot so although I don’t think we will personally be going back to the Willimantic shop, Pedal Power has a great reputation on making things right and they did with us so I highly recommend the Vernon location. More variety too!
Mar 29, 2024 · Kathryn HnatReally great bike shop. Ultra fast repairs. They had everything I needed. The guys are very nice. I had my friends mongoose fixed here the other day. They took there time working with me. Awesome prices. I would come back if I needed more work.
Jul 07, 2022 · CogsmanatiI recently moved to Willimantic and this is my new closest shop so I figured I would try them out. I have been avidly mountain biking for 10 years and I perform almost all maintenance on my bikes myself. However when I went to go upgrade the rear brake on my Specialized Turbo Levo SL (a model this shop not only sells but stocks) I realized that to replace the rear brake you must pull the motor out of the bicycle. Since this is the first E-bike that I owned, I was not comfortable doing that on my own and figured I would give it off the professionals. I had all the brake components that were needed to make the switch I just needed the expertise to pull the motor. So I called the shop, told them exactly what kind of bicycle I had and what I needed done. They told me not an issue and to bring it down and they could get it done today. When I got to the shop it was very concerning that no one at the shop seemed to know how to change the rear brakes on a bicycle that they sell. (They even called their other stores to see if they could even preform a simple brake switch) finally they told me they should be able to do it but they couldn’t get me in for over 3 weeks! I own a small business and they were busy at the time so I didn’t expect them to finish the task that day or even the next couple for that matter but 3 weeks really? I’m not going to slander them on their star rating because they were nice but I would not trust them working on my bike and I will not buy anything from them ever again. I will drive to my two very awesome previous shops CFM Cycles in Coventry and Cycling Concepts in Glastonbury both awesome places with very capable mechanics and staff who complete tasks in a very timely and professional manor! It’s a shame, I put thousands of miles on my bicycles a year and strictly use local shops to buy parts. I guess I will have to travel a little further to spend my money.
