Based on the nature of a bicycle shop and customer feedback, My Buddy's Bike Shop likely offers a range of services aimed at supporting local cyclists. These typically include:
Bicycle Repairs and Maintenance: A core service for any bike shop. This would generally cover everything from minor adjustments (like brake and gear tuning) to more significant repairs and overhauls. One customer review suggests that they handle a good volume of bikes ("17 bikes to work on"), indicating a capacity for various repair needs.
Bicycle Upgrades: Customers might seek assistance with upgrading components on their existing bikes. One review specifically mentions being able to do "most of your own upgrades & repairs" with careful listening, implying the shop either directly performs or provides guidance on such upgrades.
Parts and Accessories Sales: To support repairs and upgrades, a bike shop would typically stock essential parts (e.g., brake fluid, bleed screws, tires, tubes, chains) and accessories (e.g., helmets, lights, locks). While one customer had difficulty getting guidance on specific parts, the presence of these items would be expected.
Expert Advice and Guidance (with caveats): One customer praised Rob for his ability to "figure out how to do most anything" and providing insights that could help customers perform their own repairs. This suggests a potential for valuable technical advice. However, another review described a staff member as unwilling to provide basic guidance on parts identification or brake fluid, indicating variability in customer service and willingness to assist without a direct repair booking.
New Bicycle Sales (Potential): While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, most bicycle stores also sell new bikes, offering a selection of models for various riding styles (e.g., road, mountain, hybrid) to cater to diverse customer needs. It would be advisable to confirm their inventory directly.
It is important for potential customers to consider that while technical expertise might be available, the level of immediate guidance or willingness to assist with self-service inquiries may vary, based on the conflicting customer experiences. Direct communication about expectations is always recommended.

My Buddy's Bike Shop, like any local business, has certain features and highlights that define its character and appeal to a segment of the local cycling community. Based on customer feedback, these include:
Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving (Rob): One significant highlight is the apparent technical proficiency of certain staff members, particularly Rob, who is noted for his ability to "figure out how to do most anything." This suggests a strong capability in diagnosing and addressing complex bike issues, which is invaluable for serious cyclists or those with challenging repair needs.
Potential for Learning and DIY Empowerment: A positive review highlights that with careful listening, customers might gain enough insight to perform "most of your own upgrades & repairs." This indicates that the shop could be a good resource for cyclists who enjoy or want to learn about maintaining their own bikes, potentially offering valuable tips during interactions.
Busyness as a Sign of Demand: The comment "Get there early because they can get very busy" suggests that the shop has a consistent demand for its services. While this can sometimes lead to wait times, it also implies a level of trust and patronage from a segment of the local cycling community.
Varying Customer Service Experience: This is a notable feature, as customer feedback presents a dichotomy. While one reviewer had a "Great experience" and praised helpfulness, another described a staff member as "completely checked out," exhibiting "attitude and ego," and unwilling to offer basic guidance without a commitment to full service. This suggests that the customer experience can be inconsistent and depends heavily on the specific interaction.
Focus on Repair Volume: The mention of "17 bikes to work on" indicates that the shop primarily focuses on managing a queue of repairs, which is typical for busy service-oriented bike shops. This focus, however, might influence the availability of immediate, walk-in diagnostic or guidance services.
Potential customers should be aware of these varying experiences and consider calling ahead for appointments, especially for repairs or detailed consultations, to manage expectations regarding immediate assistance.

My Buddy's Bike Shop Reviews
This is a pretty cool shop I delt with Rob mostly and he has no problem figuring out how to do most anything. Get there early because they can get very busy. The thing that I got out of stop by a few times was if you listen carefully, you'll be able to do a little research do most of you own upgrades & repairs. Great experience. Thanks guys
May 20, 2024 · Abstraddic 0Walked into this shop looking for help with my rear brake. The guy behind the counter said he was “too busy” because he had 17 bikes to work on — but he wasn’t doing a damn thing. Just standing there, arms crossed, acting like I was bothering him by even walking in.I asked for help figuring out which brake fluid I needed. He flat-out refused. Didn’t even pretend to help. So I stood there in his shop, Googling it myself — found what I needed in less than a minute. Then I asked if he could help me identify my brake model so I could buy a bleed screw. He refused again. I even said, “Look, I’m ready to buy everything I need — I just need a little guidance.” His response? A lazy, dismissive “I guess you can bring the bike in and I’ll try to look at it.”Dude was completely checked out. No customer service, no basic decency, just attitude and ego. Total waste of time. If you want real help, skip this place and go to AJ’s Bike Service. They actually give a damn.
Apr 10, 2025 · Zach YeremianI purchased two bikes here for my Son (6) and Daughter (8) on two separate visits. Sebastion helped us both times and was really awesome. I had an idea about what size bikes my kids might need but they were both between different sizes. Sebastion was very patient and helpful. He took various bikes off the rack and had them try peddling as he held the bikes and made adjustments. If you are thinking about ordering a Specialized bike online to save money don't even bother. Come to this shop and get it for the same price without any markup and have their mechanics set it all up for you. They have the same sales that Specialized has on their website. They will also let you bring the bike in for a free tuneup within a year of the purchase. We have three other bike shops in our area but this place is worth the 15 mile drive and is our go to shop.
Aug 15, 2023 · Mike D.I am rating my last visit to my buddy’s bike shop. I just purchased an ebike from another retailer and wanted a larger 900 watt battery. I called and confirmed that my buddy’s bike shop had one. After entering the store I was greeted by Joseph, let me tell you, his service was a game changer, he not only installed the plastics pieces needed to install the battery but had me bring the bike in and installed it into my bike for me. I have been in the retail business for 25 plus years and this is the type of service that makes you want to be a repeat customer. Thanks to Joseph formaking me a born again customer. I will spread the word 💯💯
Aug 03, 2023 · Pete CateThese guys are the MacGyver of bike problems! My bike has an anti-theft system which needs a pinhead key to release my wheels. But I lost my key, and my 9 digit code, and then I got a flat tire. I thought I would have to buy a whole new bike. After feeling like I had to buy a whole new bike, they fixed everything in less than 15 minutes. I've had bike shops take advantage of me and charge me for things I didn't need. But these guys were not only great at fixing my bike, they were honest, helpful, eager to get me on my way. I cannot say anything more positive about my experience with these guys!!!!
