May 10, 2025 · cj harrisNOT INTEREST/NOT ATTENTIVE!!!So like Gabby, Potato Protocol, Krystal, Victor, Johnny and others, my experience was heartbreaking too!! I'm not sure why some customers are getting the fake royal treatment and others aren't??? But these guys need to do BETTER!!I took my NEW BIKE in just to have air put in the tire. They wanted to give me a new rim, tube and tire. I told them it was a new bike and it didn't need those. As I pushed my bike in to the shop, and employee told me to just leave it there. I had no assistance and parked the bike by the entrance door. I walked over to the employee, introduced myself (because I had called before going in). I told him what I needed, he really didn't seem INTERESTED/ATTENTIVE. I asked if it was something they could do today or when, and he said we're busy!! But in the meantime, there were NO CUSTOMERS IN THE SHOP...NO CARS IN THEIR PARKING LOT!!So, I just stood there... I asked if they were able to work on it, when could I get it back?? Again, the employee said we're busy. He asked another employee and he also said we're busy!! I gave my name, phone number and asked the employee if he could call me if they have time to work on it!!! I WAS NEVER CALLED. I HAD TO CALL THEM!!! 4 hours later, I heard nothing from them ( NOT even a courtesy follow up). At this point, I'm developing trust issues with them because I was not given any reassurance nor a claim ticket ( which is what MOST PROFESSIONAL PLACES DO) to reclaim the item for payment and pick up.I was so uneasy about the energy I was picking up from them, so I went back and got my bike. When I returned to the shop, I wanted to cry. The bike was still where I had left it at the entrance door leaning!!! I took it to DELAND CYCLERY. The owner was very WELCOMING, kind, helpful and fast. All it needed was the tube and tire back on the rim and air!! I will NEVER HONOR JC's BIKES.So that it is known, I was extremely professional, patient and kind as a NEW CUSTOMER when i visited JC's Bike...but they weren't INTERESTED nor ATTENTIVE enough!!!

Its actually fun to go there!They take their time and they dont mind teaching if I have questions.The bikes are worked on in the middle of the store (not in the back) so you can see everything. You can even talk to whoever is working on your bike while they work on it.They dont mind.They act like Im a valued customer!I spent months going to the other bike shop before I tried JCs. It was frustrating and things never improved.Glad that's over..... and I have JCs now.

We had a small conversation on the type of bike I brought in and I felt I made the right decision leaving it there due to they're knowledge and friendly approach. Unfortunately when I went to pick up the bike it was a whole different story. I had mentioned to the gentleman I dropped off the bike with, that I was trying to keep the cost low due to the use the bike will be getting and we had agreed to a price of 150 for service and repairs which at that point I thought it was high but decided to trust the guys there since my knowledge on bikes and parts is not vast. I also felt that they were genuine and seem to be cool people. But when I picked up the bike the price had now changed to 200. So now I'm at a point where I'm paying double of what I paid for the bike to service it, to only use it once in a while. There was never a call letting me know that there would be a price change or any type of courtesy on their behalf. When I express this issue to them they pretty much gave me the "who gives a shit about what you're saying" speech. The guy mentioned how he had to do this and that in order to get to that price point expecting me to rationalized all this bike service knowledge just so he can charge me more. At no point they considered that some people may just not have the extra money to spend. This bike was a random gift I was going to give my wife since she's always wanted a similar bike to this one. I live paycheck to paycheck and sacrificed money I didn't have to just make my lady smile. I got off of work early to bring it and to pick it up and I know that's not their fault I took off early but between time taken off and repairs this bike has cost me just the same as to get a new one. Both of the guys that were there were really condescending and couldn't even comprehend the fact that being a different price then initially quoted would be an issue. When I mentioned to them that I even got off of work early to make it before they close one of them said "we'll make sure we change our hours for you too" what kind of customer service is that??? No apologies for changing their prices or discounts we're offered to repair the situation. I asked them "at this point what choice do I have?" They said nothing and just kinda smirked. I would not recommend this place, I have read other bad reviews and it seems to be that there's a common theme of them trying to turn around their mistakes on the customer. I hope they're happy they robbed me of my hard earned money. Even if is not a lot of money....I work very hard for it.Update:After I paid 200 dollars for servicing the bike I went home and they didn't even put air on the tires or cleaned any part of the bike like they said they would. So after being "serviced" I still had to go and air up the tires and clean the bike, this place is just awful.
