TERRIBLE company stay away! THEY WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY AS SEEN IN MANY OTHER REVIEWS!!!I Started having issues with my bike within a month of purchasing. Called and left voicemail, emailed...no return call or email. Tried again and again. Nothing... Called the store I bought it from (3rd party big box store) to see if I could return it because I couldn't get any answer from them. The store reached out to them and they LIED to them saying they never recieved any email or calls. Then told them they would get a hold of me using the email they gave to them to reach me to resolve issues.Well obviously they DID get the email because they REPLIED to my first email 4 months later! If you're going to LIE about not receiving my emails, you should have sent a fresh one instead of replying to the original I sent you!The reply was a generalized email about normal brake sounds and that it's normal for disc brakes to be wrapped and noisey, even though I explained in DETAIL what's going on and thay I'm very familiar with bicycles and the brakes were badly wrapped. I told them that's causing the noise as well. They completley ignored my other concerns of noisey ringing motor that was quiet from the beginning and now has a weird noise. I replied to that email stating the brakes were wrapped and failing and they then wanted videos of it or me take it to a bike shop and send them the quote "paid for our of my pocket" ... It was also too late as it was now winter and my bike was put away until spring.Spring time I took the bike out popped the battery back in (which I topped up the charge on over winter) and it starts dieing after 2 miles with 86% and up showing on the display. I email them again including replying to previous email * (they will likely reply to this review saying they didn't get any emails and are you sure you contacted the right bike shop) * I started calling them every other day leaving voicemails, and sending emails. They never got back to me once by email or phone. I then got stranded on this bike because it died again with almost full battery and decided to call them again and tell them I'm stranded with this heavy bike that has no power now, hoping they would have some compassion and finally get back to me. But nope...no answer and no reply to that voicemail either. However I did notice they were able to change their voicemail greeting once again, about them being closed for certain holidays and then back to the normal greeting again after, so shows they were checking it. Just ignoring.I call the store I bought it from once again and tell them this and they remembered trying to get any answer from this company from last season. So they try to reach them again. 2 weeks later I call back because I haven't heard any updates and ask if he was able to reach these guys. The manager says "yes I did and they told me they had made contact with you and we're sending you parts, that's why I never got back to you" but no there was no contact made with me, no parts sent. They lie to tell people what they want to hear. The big box store I bought it from said ok give us 1 more attempt to get through to them or we will refund you. So they tried again and now they started ignoring the store. In the meantime I sent them many emails, one of which had a Google shared album with videos of the noisey wrapped brakes and failing power. The album has a feature which shows me who viewed the album and sure thing the owners and an employee all viewed the videos one of them "Dvd Dahan" (David Dehan) as you can see on their website the owners last names are Dehan.Still nothing not a phone call, no email, wouldn't get back to the store, NOTHING.I was lucky the 3rd party store decided to refund my purchase and it is being escalated to the VP level of this store chain so they can hopefully go after this company to charge them back for the bike.I took the time to write this review to stop anyone from buying any of these bikes. Hopefully nobody else gets ripped off. HORRIBLE company, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! - Scott Gillis

This article aims to provide a comprehensive and factual overview of Gopowerbike, drawing upon publicly available information and customer feedback to help New Jersey users make informed decisions. We will explore their product range, the accessibility of their location, and delve into aspects of their customer service and warranty support, which are vital considerations for any significant purchase.

It's important for potential buyers to research thoroughly and weigh all factors, including product features, pricing, and perhaps most importantly, the reliability of post-purchase support. For New Jersey locals, knowing what to expect from a local business like Gopowerbike can significantly influence satisfaction with their purchase and overall experience.

Location and Accessibility

Gopowerbike is situated at 120 Greylock Ave, Belleville, NJ 07109, USA. This address places the company within Essex County, New Jersey, making it potentially accessible to residents in Belleville and surrounding communities such as Newark, Bloomfield, Nutley, and Clifton.

Belleville is a densely populated suburban township with a network of local roads. Accessibility to 120 Greylock Ave would primarily be by personal vehicle, and potential customers should verify parking availability at or near the location. For those relying on public transportation, prospective buyers should investigate local bus routes that might serve the area, as detailed public transport access directly to this specific address is not readily available through general searches. As with any visit to a local business, planning your route ahead of time is advisable to ensure a smooth journey to their Belleville facility.

It is important to note that while the address is provided, the nature of the facility (e.g., a showroom, warehouse, or office) and whether it is open for direct customer visits and Browse, beyond pickup for online orders or service inquiries, should be confirmed directly with Gopowerbike prior to visiting. Their customer service information, as provided later, would be the appropriate channel for this verification.

Services Offered

Based on public information and their product listings, Gopowerbike primarily focuses on the sale of electric bicycles and electric scooters, along with associated parts and accessories. While a traditional "bicycle store" might offer a wide range of conventional bicycles, repair services, and community rides, Gopowerbike's model appears to be more centered on direct sales and support for their specific electric product lines.

  • Electric Bicycle Sales: Gopowerbike offers a range of electric bicycles, including models such as GoPlus, GoBlitz, GoDash, GoHype, GoSparky, GoCruiser V2, GoExpress V2, GoKlik, GoCity, GoSpeed, GoEagle, GoCargo, GoVelo, GoFalcon, and Plug City. These bikes often feature various motor wattages, battery ranges, and designs catering to different preferences, including folding and off-road capable models.
  • Electric Scooter Sales: In addition to electric bikes, they also sell electric scooters like the Plug City and GoFlow models.
  • Parts and Accessories Sales: Customers can purchase replacement parts and accessories for their Gopowerbike products. Examples include batteries, chargers, bike mirrors, brake pads, cargo nets, cell phone holders, derailleur guards, and various other components specific to their models.
  • Warranty Support (as per policy): Gopowerbike offers a limited warranty on its products, typically a 1-year limited warranty on bikes and individual covered components, with a 3-month (90-day) or 30-day limited warranty on certain parts. This warranty is for manufacturing defects in material or workmanship. Specifics of the warranty, including covered components and duration, are outlined on their website.

It is crucial for New Jersey consumers to understand that while a warranty is offered, the practical application and customer service response for warranty claims have been a significant area of concern for some past customers, as detailed in the provided reviews.

Features / Highlights

When considering Gopowerbike, several features and aspects stand out, though some are highlighted by the company's product descriptions, while others emerge from customer experiences.

  • Specialization in Electric Personal Transportation: Gopowerbike's primary focus on electric bikes and scooters distinguishes it from traditional bicycle shops. Their inventory is tailored to the growing demand for powered two-wheelers, offering various models with features like hub motors, varying battery capacities, and foldable designs.
  • Online Sales and Distribution Model: A significant portion of Gopowerbike's sales appear to be conducted through third-party big box stores (like Sam's Club and Walmart) and online channels. While they have a physical address in Belleville, their business model suggests a strong emphasis on direct-to-consumer shipping, with assembly often required by the customer.
  • Variety of E-Bike Models: Their product line includes different styles of e-bikes, from compact folding models suitable for urban commuting (e.g., GoKlik, GoCity) to more robust options with higher wattage motors (e.g., GoPlus, GoExpress V2). This variety aims to cater to different rider needs and preferences.
  • Inclusion of Basic Accessories with Some Models: Some e-bike models are described as coming "fully equipped" with features like integrated headlights, bells, or cell phone holders, adding convenience for the rider.
  • Challenges in Customer Service and Warranty Fulfillment: Based on the provided customer reviews, a critical feature, or rather a significant recurring concern, is the reported difficulty in obtaining satisfactory customer service and warranty support. Multiple customers describe unreturned calls and emails, denials of receipt of communication, prolonged issues with product defects (e.g., warped brakes, noisy motors, battery failures), and unfulfilled promises of parts or resolutions. This aspect is a key highlight from the consumer perspective, indicating potential hurdles in post-purchase support.
  • Self-Assembly Expectation: Some reviews indicate that bikes ship "almost completely assembled," requiring customers to complete the setup. This is a common practice for online bike sales, but it means that local buyers should be prepared for some assembly or factor in the cost of professional assembly.
Contact Information

It is highly recommended that New Jersey customers attempting to contact Gopowerbike utilize both phone and email, and maintain detailed records of all communications, including dates, times, names of representatives, and summaries of discussions. Their website also lists specific email addresses for sales ([email protected]) and technical support ([email protected]).

Conclusion: Why Gopowerbike May or May Not Be Suitable for Locals

For New Jersey locals interested in purchasing an electric bike or scooter, Gopowerbike presents a particular set of considerations. The company's suitability largely depends on a buyer's priorities and their tolerance for potential post-purchase challenges.

On one hand, Gopowerbike offers a diverse range of electric bicycles and scooters, catering to the growing demand for sustainable and efficient personal transportation in the region. Their products are often available through large retail chains, which might offer competitive pricing or convenient initial purchase points for New Jersey consumers. For those seeking a specific type of electric bike or scooter that aligns with Gopowerbike's product line, they might find a suitable model within their inventory.

However, a critical factor for New Jersey locals to consider is the significant and consistently negative feedback regarding Gopowerbike's customer service and warranty fulfillment, as detailed in multiple public reviews. These reviews highlight extensive difficulties in communication, unaddressed product defects shortly after purchase, and unfulfilled promises of resolution. For a local consumer, reliable post-purchase support, especially for a complex item like an electric bike with electronic components and mechanical parts, is paramount. The reported issues with warranty claims, including allegations of misrepresentation and unresponsiveness, suggest that buyers might face considerable challenges should their product develop problems.

Therefore, while Gopowerbike offers a range of electric bikes and scooters that might initially seem appealing, New Jersey locals should approach a purchase with caution. It is advisable to thoroughly review their warranty policy, understand the limitations, and be prepared for potential hurdles in customer support based on the experiences of other consumers. For many New Jersey residents, the peace of mind that comes with reliable service and accessible support from a local business is a significant factor, and current public feedback suggests that Gopowerbike may not consistently deliver on this front. Consumers should weigh the product's features and price against the documented risks related to customer service and warranty.
