Allez LA Reviews
I can’t say enough good things about this bike shop! I came in needing some repairs, and they went above and beyond to help me out. Kyle, in particular, was incredibly helpful—he genuinely cares about making sure you’re enjoying your bike, not just about making a sale. The whole team was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything. On top of great service, they also have a fantastic selection of fun bike accessories to browse. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves to ride!
Mar 20, 2025 · JosephBest shop in LA. This is what a community bike shop should be, organized rides, welcoming knowledgeable staff, all the fun cool shiny bike stuff one might need, accessible/approachable pricing. I'd happily trust them with any of the bikes in my collection. A+, high five, good vibes, and bike rides!
Apr 03, 2025 · Jake FleischmannI saw Allez LA had a hat designed by Bill Rebholz and had to have it! Shipping was $0.75 and it was at my door on the east coast in under a week! The hat itself is maybe one of my new favorites - it has no button on top and the bill is soft and foldable! I was concerned about the bill returning to flat but with little to no massage, there is zero evidence it was ever folded and stuffed into a pocket. Happy to support such a great shop, buy with confidence!
Feb 14, 2025 · Ryan LeeThis shop helped me rediscover my love of cycling after a years-long lapse. On a friend’s recommendation, I walked in and spoke with Mick, who listened patiently, asked and answered questions, and recommended a bike that would meet my needs at the lower end of my stated budget range. Two months later, it’s no exaggeration to say that this bike has changed my life. I’m putting heavy miles into it, and thanks to the advice and tools recommended, I’ve navigated the punctures that come with riding LA streets… for the most part. I recently had a run in with a big piece of glass that tore a hole in my tire, and rather than sell me a new one, Shawn patched it up and I’m back on the road. Thanks, Allez LA!
Jun 14, 2025 · Nicholas BrownI’m giving five stars because I’m very pleased with my tune up and my first stop in was perfectly pleasant and nice—the mechanic who worked on my bike was professional and kind while explaining some issues with my bike very clearly. My basic tune up was $105 and I really appreciated getting the “consultation” at the beginning—I’m still learning so it helps to understand what they’re doing, noticing, etc! They seem to have a lot of supplies, some cool merch, unique bikes. I’m very glad this kind of independent bike shop is here in Highland Park!I will say that my return to pick up my bike was a bit more hectic; it’s a small shop so there being a bit of a crowd in there made it pretty overwhelming, and the fact it seemed to be a larger friend group with whoever was working the till meant it was quite confusing and hard to be noticed. I would have liked to shop around more and ask some advice on purchasing some items for better maintaining my bike, but it felt too intimidating. My recommendation for more anxious or newbie cyclists is to try to come during a part of the day that’s less busy!
