Maine Bike Works Reviews
Brought my bike for a quick fix. Turned out my bike had design flaw. Theron machined a part to fix the design flaw. I've never had such good service in a bike shop. Very impressed.Very friendly and helpful staff 👌Lots of useful parts on hand.Would recommend to anyone who wants to get outside, be safe on their bikes.
May 16, 2025 · Marc-Antoine TalbotI went in looking for advice on cruisers and trikes. I didn't know but that's not what they do. The gentleman that waited on me was very informative of who would carry what I was looking for. To say the least I was blown away by how nice and generous he was with information. I will most likely find a clean used beach cruiser and when it needs service I will be hopeful they can take care of it. Maine Bike Works is a place I want to support!!! I have never had that kind of customer service anywhere. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!
May 20, 2025 · David HughesI was in a bit of a bind on a recent tour up the east coast. I had a cracked wheel and was having trouble finding a good replacement, so I sent an email to Maine Bike Works to see if they could help me out.Jason responded very quickly. He explained that they mostly do custom work and don’t stock the part I needed, but sent a very long, detailed message giving me recommendations on different shops in the area that could probably solve my problem. Using the information Jason gave me I was quickly able to get my bike fixed. While I didn’t actually buy anything or get any repairs done, if their attention to detail in their work matches the level shown in the email Jason sent, then it is truly a very special bike shop.
May 19, 2025 · Elijah BarnhartNow you'd probably wonder how a bike shop could possibly have so many five star reviews, after all it's just a bike shop. My answer to that would be that you just have to go and experience it.I went there expecting just the typical bike shop experience of dropping off my bike, they do their thing and call me when it is ready. Boy was I wrong. Maine bike works strives to do the exact opposite of your schedule allows it. They prefer to go over the bike with you and explain all the options available. Having you there while the repairs are happening also allows you to see in real time what is happening. There may be things that weren't caught in the initial inspection that may be difficult to explain in a phone call and very difficult to quantify. This, in my personal experience, really enhanced the whole process. I went in for a tune up for a used bike I purchased and left feeling great.Jason took his time and even went above and beyond to maximize the performance of the bike in the most cost-effective way. After two hours the bike was significantly improved and I couldn't believe how reasonable the price of the repairs were.Jason apologized for "taking up two hours of my life that I'll never get back," but what he actually did was make bike repairs enjoyable with great conversation, great insight and information about biking in the area, and made me crave an iced Americano. If you are looking for bike repairs that break the mold, I highly suggest you check this place out. And do yourself a favor and pick up a pink water bottle while you are there, you'll be glad you did.
Jul 19, 2018 · Bryan MartinsHad a flat tire on my garden cart. Brought it to two places before someone recommended Mikes… he fixed my tire right there and then while I was waiting… excellent service and very friendly people!
