Baer Wheels Reviews
Took my bike to get one procedure done. He ended up doing a bunch of extra work on my bike that I didn't ask him to do and now my bike rides worse. He did something that's caused my front wheel wheel to react harsher to impact. Now it shakes a bit. I didn't ask him to do any of this. Two experiences with this guy's shop have been awful.

Mar 15, 2025 路 Chauncey TaylorUpdate: Just stopped by the shop (2yrs after initial review) and the gentleman was just as kind as ever! Threw my sons bike up on his rack, replaced the "Dork Disk" that someone installed 2 of them.Long story short, they really care about getting you back on your two wheels. A+Service AGAIN! 馃憣Fantastic shop and owner! Going here for all my 2 wheel needs. Just casually stopped in to check out stuff with my 6yr old son. He wanted a new bell and a kickstand for his new bike and the gentleman was kind enough to cut and install the kickstand for us, in like 5 min. A+ Experience and will be bringing my wife's bicycle here for some maintenance work. Thanks again for the help and service.
Jun 12, 2025 路 Matt MunroI took a bike in that I had assembled myself for a tune up and check to make sure I did everything right. The process took about a week from drop off to pickup. The good: Dave is very knowledgeable about bike repair and biking in generally. He gave me some advice on what to look for when I begin riding, and he was careful to point out what he had fixed and why he fixed it. The prices for the repairs were very good and the merchandise prices seemed competitive. I would definitely come back to shop and get Dave's advice on what to buy for biking. The bad (or meh): it's unlikely that you will be given a firm timeline for a repair. If anything, you'll get a vague date range from "a few days to maybe a week." For a small project like checking brakes and the derailleur, that is likely longer than you expect for such a repair. The scheduling option on the website also appears to have little relationship to timing of the repair. If you call in, you'll likely get another vague timing estimate that may or may not be true. However, when I didn't hear back after my second call, I went in to retrieve my bike, which was ready, and I had a pleasant conversation about cycling with Dave.
